Hello,

I am trying to define openjdk8 as dependency for my custom
textproc/elasticsearch5 package. Actually I am trying to fix that port.

When I tried to install this package by using my custom repository, pkg
manager is not installing openjdk8 or jna package. Actually it should be
installed, because jna and openjdk packages are not installed on the target
system. And I think Makefile looks correct.

What you do you think about this dependency installation problem?
How can I debug or solve the problem?

digest.txz meta.txz packagesite.txz files can be used for debug?

Makefile content:

Bugzilla Automation <bugzilla@FreeBSD.org> has asked freebsd-java mailing l=
ist
<java@FreeBSD.org> for maintainer-feedback:
Bug 234593: java/openjdk8: UnsatisfiedLinkError:
sun.nio.ch.FileDispatcherImpl.allocate0
https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=3D234593

--- Description ---
Running the attached test program gives an error:

$ javac Test.java && java Test
Exception in thread "main" java.lang.UnsatisfiedLinkError:
sun.nio.ch.FileDispatcherImpl.allocate0(Ljava/io/FileDescriptor;J)I
	at sun.nio.ch.FileDispatcherImpl.allocate0(Native Method)
	at sun.nio.ch.FileDispatcherImpl.allocate(FileDispatcherImpl.java:84)
	at sun.nio.ch.FileChannelImpl.map(FileChannelImpl.java:909)
	at Test.main(Test.java:11)

There is an implementation for allocate0 in
src/solaris/native/sun/nio/ch/FileDispatcherImpl.c. I guess it's only a pro=
blem
with the build system.

I'm not 100% sure but I think the program that now throws this error used to
work about a year ago.

Bug 234594: java/openjdk8: netbeans GUI not updating correctly after recent
update
https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=3D234594

--- Description ---
Since the update of openjdk8-8.192.26_3 the GUI of java/netbeans doesn't
refresh correctly anymore. I'm using netbeans 10.0.

This shows up in two ways at are really noticeable:
1) After a while the menu buttons get grayed out, they only update if you m=
ove
the mouse over them. This is easily reproducible when switching to console =
and
back to X.
2) When a project is opened, the projects window doesn't refresh right away=
 if
you unfold a directory (sorry can't think of a better way to describe this)=
. So
files in this directory aren't shown. You can force the refresh by scrollin=
g in
the window but I think you can agree that this is annoying.

After reverting back to openjdk8-8.181.13_1 these issues go away, so I think
this is not a netbeans issue. I'm don't know how to provide more information
for debugging this issue.

--- Comment #1 from Stefan Ehmann <shoesoft@gmx.net> ---
Seems to be a regression in 8u192. openjdk8-8.181.13_1 works fine.

A short note on the test program:
Make sure that the file "foo" does not exist before running the test.

If you test with 8u181 it creates the file with 1 byte. Afterwards, the err=
or
will not occur with 8u192 because the affected code path is only entered if=
 the
file needs to be expanded.

A quick fix to fix the runtime error

It looks like the following commit was not correctly merged, i.e.,
jdk/make/mapfiles/libnio/mapfile-bsd:

http://hg.openjdk.java.net/jdk8u/jdk8u/jdk/rev/f64826e5b775

The easiest fix is using the attached patch. However, the above commit was
reverted later:

https://bugs.openjdk.java.net/browse/JDK-8202261

and fixed differently.

http://hg.openjdk.java.net/jdk8u/jdk8u/jdk/rev/a2361ab40be8

--- Comment #1 from Stefan Ehmann <shoesoft@gmx.net> ---
There seems to be relevant information in
~/.netbeans/10.0/var/log/messages.log:

There is no such backtrace with the previous openjdk8 version.
