(I'll not list it all) . . . So using 2.17.50 is sort of like using 2.32 was before the removal of the temporary patch, if I gather right: removal of the temporary patch made 2.32 stop generating these .dynsym entries and once the libraries involved were rebuilt the prolem went away in the 2.32 based context. Looks like the blame may go on 2.17.50's ld. That makes a mess for 32-bit powerpc built with gcc 4.2.1's tool chain. --=20 You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.= From owner-freebsd-toolchain@freebsd.org Mon May 27 15:01:47 2019 Return-Path: Delivered-To: freebsd-toolchain@mailman.ysv.freebsd.org Received: from mx1.freebsd.org (mx1.freebsd.org [IPv6:2610:1c1:1:606c::19:1]) by mailman.ysv.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id 75687159F139 for ; Mon, 27 May 2019 15:01:47 +0000 (UTC) (envelope-from bugzilla-noreply@freebsd.org) Received: from mailman.ysv.freebsd.org (mailman.ysv.freebsd.org [IPv6:2001:1900:2254:206a::50:5]) by mx1.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id 0FAB3707EE for ; Mon, 27 May 2019 15:01:47 +0000 (UTC) (envelope-from bugzilla-noreply@freebsd.org) Received: by mailman.ysv.freebsd.org (Postfix) id C25F6159F130; Mon, 27 May 2019 15:01:46 +0000 (UTC) Delivered-To: toolchain@mailman.ysv.freebsd.org Received: from mx1.freebsd.org (mx1.freebsd.org [IPv6:2610:1c1:1:606c::19:1]) by mailman.ysv.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id AF9DA159F12F for ; Mon, 27 May 2019 15:01:46 +0000 (UTC) (envelope-from bugzilla-noreply@freebsd.org) Received: from mxrelay.ysv.freebsd.org (mxrelay.ysv.freebsd.org [IPv6:2001:1900:2254:206a::19:3]) (using TLSv1.3 with cipher TLS_AES_256_GCM_SHA384 (256/256 bits) server-signature RSA-PSS (4096 bits) client-signature RSA-PSS (4096 bits) client-digest SHA256) (Client CN "mxrelay.ysv.freebsd.org", Issuer "Let's Encrypt Authority X3" (verified OK)) by mx1.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTPS id 487B9707E5 for ; Mon, 27 May 2019 15:01:46 +0000 (UTC) (envelope-from bugzilla-noreply@freebsd.org) Received: from kenobi.freebsd.org (kenobi.freebsd.org [IPv6:2001:1900:2254:206a::16:76]) (using TLSv1.2 with cipher ECDHE-RSA-AES256-GCM-SHA384 (256/256 bits)) (Client did not present a certificate) by mxrelay.ysv.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTPS id 5DB3E1ECE6 for ; Mon, 27 May 2019 15:01:45 +0000 (UTC) (envelope-from bugzilla-noreply@freebsd.org) Received: from kenobi.freebsd.org ([127.0.1.118]) by kenobi.freebsd.org (8.15.2/8.15.2) with ESMTP id x4RF1jux047102 for ; Mon, 27 May 2019 15:01:45 GMT (envelope-from bugzilla-noreply@freebsd.org) Received: (from www@localhost) by kenobi.freebsd.org (8.15.2/8.15.2/Submit) id x4RF1jlO047089 for toolchain@FreeBSD.org; Mon, 27 May 2019 15:01:45 GMT (envelope-from bugzilla-noreply@freebsd.org) X-Authentication-Warning: kenobi.freebsd.org: www set sender to bugzilla-noreply@freebsd.org using -f From: bugzilla-noreply@freebsd.org To: toolchain@FreeBSD.org Subject: [Bug 220103] devel/glib20: ld-elf.so.1: /usr/local/lib/libglib-2.0.so.0: Undefined symbol "environ" (WITH_LLD_IS_LD) Date: Mon, 27 May 2019 15:01:35 +0000 X-Bugzilla-Reason: CC AssignedTo X-Bugzilla-Type: changed X-Bugzilla-Watch-Reason: None X-Bugzilla-Product: Base System X-Bugzilla-Component: bin X-Bugzilla-Version: CURRENT X-Bugzilla-Keywords: needs-qa X-Bugzilla-Severity: Affects Many People X-Bugzilla-Who: emaste@freebsd.org X-Bugzilla-Status: Open X-Bugzilla-Resolution: X-Bugzilla-Priority: Normal X-Bugzilla-Assigned-To: toolchain@FreeBSD.org X-Bugzilla-Flags: X-Bugzilla-Changed-Fields: Message-ID: In-Reply-To: References: Content-Type: text/plain; charset="UTF-8" Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable X-Bugzilla-URL: https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/ Auto-Submitted: auto-generated MIME-Version: 1.0 X-BeenThere: freebsd-toolchain@freebsd.org X-Mailman-Version: 2.1.29 Precedence: list List-Id: Maintenance of FreeBSD's integrated toolchain List-Unsubscribe: , List-Archive: List-Post: List-Help: List-Subscribe: , X-List-Received-Date: Mon, 27 May 2019 15:01:47 -0000 https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=3D220103 --- Comment #44 from Ed Maste --- This issue is now understood and a few instances have been fixed. This would still make for the odd mix of libc++ / libcxxrt vs. libstdc++ if: /usr/local/lib/libicui18n.so.64 /usr/local/lib/libicuuc.so.64 were built by the system toolchain but qt5-core was built by something like lang/gcc8 . system-clang vs. lang/gcc* need not be the only odd context. =3D=3D=3D Mark Millard marklmi at yahoo.com ( dsl-only.net went away in early 2018-Mar) From owner-freebsd-toolchain@freebsd.org Tue May 28 19:44:26 2019 Return-Path: Delivered-To: freebsd-toolchain@mailman.ysv.freebsd.org Received: from mx1.freebsd.org (mx1.freebsd.org [IPv6:2610:1c1:1:606c::19:1]) by mailman.ysv.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id 58C1D15AA451 for ; Tue, 28 May 2019 19:44:26 +0000 (UTC) (envelope-from bugzilla-noreply@freebsd.org) Received: from mailman.ysv.freebsd.org (mailman.ysv.freebsd.org [IPv6:2001:1900:2254:206a::50:5]) by mx1.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id CF5488EAC8 for ; Tue, 28 May 2019 19:44:25 +0000 (UTC) (envelope-from bugzilla-noreply@freebsd.org) Received: by mailman.ysv.freebsd.org (Postfix) id 9000C15AA44C; Tue, 28 May 2019 19:44:25 +0000 (UTC) Delivered-To: toolchain@mailman.ysv.freebsd.org Received: from mx1.freebsd.org (mx1.freebsd.org [IPv6:2610:1c1:1:606c::19:1]) by mailman.ysv.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id 6885A15AA44B for ; Tue, 28 May 2019 19:44:25 +0000 (UTC) (envelope-from bugzilla-noreply@freebsd.org) Received: from mxrelay.ysv.freebsd.org (mxrelay.ysv.freebsd.org [IPv6:2001:1900:2254:206a::19:3]) (using TLSv1.3 with cipher TLS_AES_256_GCM_SHA384 (256/256 bits) server-signature RSA-PSS (4096 bits) client-signature RSA-PSS (4096 bits) client-digest SHA256) (Client CN "mxrelay.ysv.freebsd.org", Issuer "Let's Encrypt Authority X3" (verified OK)) by mx1.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTPS id F35668EAC4 for ; Tue, 28 May 2019 19:44:24 +0000 (UTC) (envelope-from bugzilla-noreply@freebsd.org) Received: from kenobi.freebsd.org (kenobi.freebsd.org [IPv6:2001:1900:2254:206a::16:76]) (using TLSv1.2 with cipher ECDHE-RSA-AES256-GCM-SHA384 (256/256 bits)) (Client did not present a certificate) by mxrelay.ysv.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTPS id 32409E7CF for ; Tue, 28 May 2019 19:44:24 +0000 (UTC) (envelope-from bugzilla-noreply@freebsd.org) Received: from kenobi.freebsd.org ([127.0.1.118]) by kenobi.freebsd.org (8.15.2/8.15.2) with ESMTP id x4SJiObP083651 for ; Tue, 28 May 2019 19:44:24 GMT (envelope-from bugzilla-noreply@freebsd.org) Received: (from www@localhost) by kenobi.freebsd.org (8.15.2/8.15.2/Submit) id x4SJiOAu083650 for toolchain@FreeBSD.org; Tue, 28 May 2019 19:44:24 GMT (envelope-from bugzilla-noreply@freebsd.org) X-Authentication-Warning: kenobi.freebsd.org: www set sender to bugzilla-noreply@freebsd.org using -f From: bugzilla-noreply@freebsd.org To: toolchain@FreeBSD.org Subject: [Bug 238082] graphics/mesa-dri: clang 8 (from head@r347549) crashes during build on powerpc64 (WITH_CLANG_IS_CC) Date: Tue, 28 May 2019 19:44:24 +0000 X-Bugzilla-Reason: AssignedTo X-Bugzilla-Type: changed X-Bugzilla-Watch-Reason: None X-Bugzilla-Product: Base System X-Bugzilla-Component: bin X-Bugzilla-Version: CURRENT X-Bugzilla-Keywords: regression X-Bugzilla-Severity: Affects Only Me X-Bugzilla-Who: marklmi26-fbsd@yahoo.com X-Bugzilla-Status: Open X-Bugzilla-Resolution: X-Bugzilla-Priority: --- X-Bugzilla-Assigned-To: toolchain@FreeBSD.org X-Bugzilla-Flags: mfc-stable11? mfc-stable12? (I re-went through establishing the patch to what the poudriere bulk sees as the system-clang-8.) But in trying to see what might be going on I notice there is logic like: # need LLVM for libEGL wherever possible, but mixing GCC and LLVM breaks Gallium .if ${CHOSEN_COMPILER_TYPE} =3D=3D clang \ || (${COMPONENT} =3D=3D libs && ${ARCH} !=3D sparc64) # no working = LLVM MESA_LLVM_VER?=3D 60 .endif .if "${MESA_LLVM_VER}" !=3D "" BUILD_DEPENDS+=3D llvm${MESA_LLVM_VER}>=3D3.9.0_4:devel/llvm${MESA_LLVM_VER} .if ${COMPONENT} !=3D libs RUN_DEPENDS+=3D llvm${MESA_LLVM_VER}>=3D3.9.0_4:devel/llvm${MESA_LLVM_VER} .endif CONFIGURE_ENV+=3D LLVM_CONFIG=3D${LOCALBASE}/bin/llvm-config${MESA_LLVM_VER} LDFLAGS+=3D -Wl,-rpath=3D${LOCALBASE}/llvm${MESA_LLVM_VER}/lib CONFIGURE_ARGS+=3D --enable-llvm .else CONFIGURE_ARGS+=3D --disable-llvm .endif So it may be that devel/llvm60 ( or devel/llvm* ) needs to be patched in order to work for contexts that would use it. It seems that devel/llvm60 got its pkg added but mesa-dri actually used what poudriere bulk saw as the system cc (system-clang-8 in my context). As for my 2nd test: [00:01:44] [01] [00:00:00] Building graphics/mesa-dri | mesa-dri-18.3.2_2 [00:23:45] [01] [00:22:01] Finished graphics/mesa-dri | mesa-dri-18.3.2_2: Success So I guess I somehow had the context for poudriere bulk messed up relative the the system cc that it saw. --=20 You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.= From owner-freebsd-toolchain@freebsd.org Tue May 28 20:38:43 2019 Return-Path: Delivered-To: freebsd-toolchain@mailman.ysv.freebsd.org Received: from mx1.freebsd.org (mx1.freebsd.org [IPv6:2610:1c1:1:606c::19:1]) by mailman.ysv.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id E013715ABE99 for ; Tue, 28 May 2019 20:38:43 +0000 (UTC) (envelope-from bugzilla-noreply@freebsd.org) Received: from mailman.ysv.freebsd.org (mailman.ysv.freebsd.org [IPv6:2001:1900:2254:206a::50:5]) by mx1.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id 76FE76A4FB for ; Tue, 28 May 2019 20:38:43 +0000 (UTC) (envelope-from bugzilla-noreply@freebsd.org) Received: by mailman.ysv.freebsd.org (Postfix) id 3363A15ABE97; Tue, 28 May 2019 20:38:43 +0000 (UTC) Delivered-To: toolchain@mailman.ysv.freebsd.org Received: from mx1.freebsd.org (mx1.freebsd.org [IPv6:2610:1c1:1:606c::19:1]) by mailman.ysv.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id 2129F15ABE95 for ; Tue, 28 May 2019 20:38:43 +0000 (UTC) (envelope-from bugzilla-noreply@freebsd.org) Received: from mxrelay.ysv.freebsd.org (mxrelay.ysv.freebsd.org [IPv6:2001:1900:2254:206a::19:3]) (using TLSv1.3 with cipher TLS_AES_256_GCM_SHA384 (256/256 bits) server-signature RSA-PSS (4096 bits) client-signature RSA-PSS (4096 bits) client-digest SHA256) (Client CN "mxrelay.ysv.freebsd.org", Issuer "Let's Encrypt Authority X3" (verified OK)) by mx1.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTPS id 9AC1A6A4F7 for ; Tue, 28 May 2019 20:38:42 +0000 (UTC) (envelope-from bugzilla-noreply@freebsd.org) Received: from kenobi.freebsd.org (kenobi.freebsd.org [IPv6:2001:1900:2254:206a::16:76]) (using TLSv1.2 with cipher ECDHE-RSA-AES256-GCM-SHA384 (256/256 bits)) (Client did not present a certificate) by mxrelay.ysv.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTPS id CF3DBEEFC for ; Tue, 28 May 2019 20:38:41 +0000 (UTC) (envelope-from bugzilla-noreply@freebsd.org) Received: from kenobi.freebsd.org ([127.0.1.118]) by kenobi.freebsd.org (8.15.2/8.15.2) with ESMTP id x4SKcfm8091366 for ; Tue, 28 May 2019 20:38:41 GMT (envelope-from bugzilla-noreply@freebsd.org) Received: (from www@localhost) by kenobi.freebsd.org (8.15.2/8.15.2/Submit) id x4SKcfe7091365 for toolchain@FreeBSD.org; Tue, 28 May 2019 20:38:41 GMT (envelope-from bugzilla-noreply@freebsd.org) X-Authentication-Warning: kenobi.freebsd.org: www set sender to bugzilla-noreply@freebsd.org using -f From: bugzilla-noreply@freebsd.org To: toolchain@FreeBSD.org Subject: [Bug 238082] graphics/mesa-dri: clang 8 (from head@r347549) crashes during build on powerpc64 (WITH_CLANG_IS_CC) Date: Tue, 28 May 2019 20:38:41 +0000 X-Bugzilla-Reason: AssignedTo X-Bugzilla-Type: changed X-Bugzilla-Watch-Reason: None X-Bugzilla-Product: Base System X-Bugzilla-Component: bin X-Bugzilla-Version: CURRENT X-Bugzilla-Keywords: regression X-Bugzilla-Severity: Affects Only Me X-Bugzilla-Who: marklmi26-fbsd@yahoo.com X-Bugzilla-Status: Open X-Bugzilla-Resolution: X-Bugzilla-Priority: --- X-Bugzilla-Assigned-To: toolchain@FreeBSD.org X-Bugzilla-Flags: mfc-stable11? mfc-stable12? At this point I do not know how to repeat the newly observed failure point. --=20 You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.= From owner-freebsd-toolchain@freebsd.org Wed May 29 18:24:18 2019 Return-Path: Delivered-To: freebsd-toolchain@mailman.ysv.freebsd.org Received: from mx1.freebsd.org (mx1.freebsd.org [IPv6:2610:1c1:1:606c::19:1]) by mailman.ysv.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id B805E15A94A3 for ; Wed, 29 May 2019 18:24:18 +0000 (UTC) (envelope-from bugzilla-noreply@freebsd.org) Received: from mailman.ysv.freebsd.org (mailman.ysv.freebsd.org [IPv6:2001:1900:2254:206a::50:5]) by mx1.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id 48788803B0 for ; Wed, 29 May 2019 18:24:18 +0000 (UTC) (envelope-from bugzilla-noreply@freebsd.org) Received: by mailman.ysv.freebsd.org (Postfix) id 0645515A94A1; Wed, 29 May 2019 18:24:18 +0000 (UTC) Delivered-To: toolchain@mailman.ysv.freebsd.org Received: from mx1.freebsd.org (mx1.freebsd.org [IPv6:2610:1c1:1:606c::19:1]) by mailman.ysv.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id E811215A94A0 for ; Wed, 29 May 2019 18:24:17 +0000 (UTC) (envelope-from bugzilla-noreply@freebsd.org) Received: from mxrelay.ysv.freebsd.org (mxrelay.ysv.freebsd.org [IPv6:2001:1900:2254:206a::19:3]) (using TLSv1.3 with cipher TLS_AES_256_GCM_SHA384 (256/256 bits) server-signature RSA-PSS (4096 bits) client-signature RSA-PSS (4096 bits) client-digest SHA256) (Client CN "mxrelay.ysv.freebsd.org", Issuer "Let's Encrypt Authority X3" (verified OK)) by mx1.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTPS id 73D51803AB for ; Wed, 29 May 2019 18:24:17 +0000 (UTC) (envelope-from bugzilla-noreply@freebsd.org) Received: from kenobi.freebsd.org (kenobi.freebsd.org [IPv6:2001:1900:2254:206a::16:76]) (using TLSv1.2 with cipher ECDHE-RSA-AES256-GCM-SHA384 (256/256 bits)) (Client did not present a certificate) by mxrelay.ysv.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTPS id 7ABC61AABE for ; Wed, 29 May 2019 18:24:16 +0000 (UTC) (envelope-from bugzilla-noreply@freebsd.org) Received: from kenobi.freebsd.org ([127.0.1.118]) by kenobi.freebsd.org (8.15.2/8.15.2) with ESMTP id x4TIOGuf042319 for ; Wed, 29 May 2019 18:24:16 GMT (envelope-from bugzilla-noreply@freebsd.org) Received: (from bugzilla@localhost) by kenobi.freebsd.org (8.15.2/8.15.2/Submit) id x4TIOG8D042314 for toolchain@FreeBSD.org; Wed, 29 May 2019 18:24:16 GMT (envelope-from bugzilla-noreply@freebsd.org) X-Authentication-Warning: kenobi.freebsd.org: bugzilla set sender to bugzilla-noreply@freebsd.org using -f From: bugzilla-noreply@freebsd.org To: toolchain@FreeBSD.org Subject: [Bug 238082] graphics/mesa-dri: clang 8 (from head@r347549) crashes during build on powerpc64 (WITH_CLANG_IS_CC) Date: Wed, 29 May 2019 18:24:16 +0000 X-Bugzilla-Reason: AssignedTo X-Bugzilla-Type: changed X-Bugzilla-Watch-Reason: None X-Bugzilla-Product: Base System X-Bugzilla-Component: bin X-Bugzilla-Version: CURRENT X-Bugzilla-Keywords: regression X-Bugzilla-Severity: Affects Only Me X-Bugzilla-Who: commit-hook@freebsd.org X-Bugzilla-Status: Open X-Bugzilla-Resolution: X-Bugzilla-Priority: --- X-Bugzilla-Assigned-To: toolchain@FreeBSD.org X-Bugzilla-Flags: mfc-stable11? mfc-stable12?
