You could verify this with 'pciconf -lB pcib7' and see that it has valid ranges for I/O and memory decoding, but the child device (xhci0) would not be able to attach successfully if we hadn't allocated val= id windows in the parent bridge. --=20 You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.= From owner-freebsd-usb@freebsd.org Mon Aug 12 17:46:18 2019 Return-Path: Delivered-To: freebsd-usb@mailman.nyi.freebsd.org Received: from mx1.freebsd.org (mx1.freebsd.org [IPv6:2610:1c1:1:606c::19:1]) by mailman.nyi.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id 27D50BB0F6 for ; Mon, 12 Aug 2019 17:46:18 +0000 (UTC) (envelope-from bugzilla-noreply@freebsd.org) Received: from mailman.nyi.freebsd.org (unknown [127.0.1.3]) by mx1.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id 466jvG0H1Nz4ffb for ; Mon, 12 Aug 2019 17:46:18 +0000 (UTC) (envelope-from bugzilla-noreply@freebsd.org) Received: by mailman.nyi.freebsd.org (Postfix) id 096F3BB0F5; Mon, 12 Aug 2019 17:46:18 +0000 (UTC) Delivered-To: usb@mailman.nyi.freebsd.org Received: from mx1.freebsd.org (mx1.freebsd.org [IPv6:2610:1c1:1:606c::19:1]) by mailman.nyi.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id 09378BB0F4 for ; Mon, 12 Aug 2019 17:46:18 +0000 (UTC) (envelope-from bugzilla-noreply@freebsd.org) Received: from mxrelay.nyi.freebsd.org (mxrelay.nyi.freebsd.org [IPv6:2610:1c1:1:606c::19:3]) (using TLSv1.3 with cipher TLS_AES_256_GCM_SHA384 (256/256 bits) server-signature RSA-PSS (4096 bits) client-signature RSA-PSS (4096 bits) client-digest SHA256) (Client CN "mxrelay.nyi.freebsd.org", Issuer "Let's Encrypt Authority X3" (verified OK)) by mx1.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTPS id 466jvF6VNqz4ffZ for ; Mon, 12 Aug 2019 17:46:17 +0000 (UTC) (envelope-from bugzilla-noreply@freebsd.org) Received: from kenobi.freebsd.org (kenobi.freebsd.org [IPv6:2610:1c1:1:606c::50:1d]) (using TLSv1.2 with cipher ECDHE-RSA-AES256-GCM-SHA384 (256/256 bits)) (Client did not present a certificate) by mxrelay.nyi.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTPS id C28522317 for ; Mon, 12 Aug 2019 17:46:17 +0000 (UTC) (envelope-from bugzilla-noreply@freebsd.org) Received: from kenobi.freebsd.org ([127.0.1.5]) by kenobi.freebsd.org (8.15.2/8.15.2) with ESMTP id x7CHkHKi043921 for ; Mon, 12 Aug 2019 17:46:17 GMT (envelope-from bugzilla-noreply@freebsd.org) Received: (from www@localhost) by kenobi.freebsd.org (8.15.2/8.15.2/Submit) id x7CHkHiP043920 for usb@FreeBSD.org; Mon, 12 Aug 2019 17:46:17 GMT (envelope-from bugzilla-noreply@freebsd.org) X-Authentication-Warning: kenobi.freebsd.org: www set sender to bugzilla-noreply@freebsd.org using -f From: bugzilla-noreply@freebsd.org To: usb@FreeBSD.org Subject: [Bug 237666] repeated messages of "uhub_reattach_port: giving up port reset - device vanished" Date: Mon, 12 Aug 2019 17:46:16 +0000 X-Bugzilla-Reason: AssignedTo X-Bugzilla-Type: changed X-Bugzilla-Watch-Reason: None X-Bugzilla-Product: Base System X-Bugzilla-Component: usb X-Bugzilla-Version: 12.0-RELEASE X-Bugzilla-Keywords: needs-qa, regression X-Bugzilla-Severity: Affects Some People X-Bugzilla-Who: kib@FreeBSD.org X-Bugzilla-Status: Open X-Bugzilla-Resolution: X-Bugzilla-Priority: --- X-Bugzilla-Assigned-To: usb@FreeBSD.org X-Bugzilla-Flags: mfc-stable11? mfc-stable12? This makes the output of `usbhidctl -r` more useful when many items have unassigned usages, such as when a device implements register accesses through USB HID. For example, before the patch: Input rid=3D0 size=3D8 count=3D1 page=3DConsumer usage=3DUnassigned, logi= cal range 0..255 Input rid=3D0 size=3D8 count=3D1 page=3DConsumer usage=3DUnassigned, logi= cal range 0..255 Both of these items look the same. After the patch: Input rid=3D0 pos=3D16 size=3D8 count=3D1 page=3DConsumer usage=3DUnassig= ned, logical range 0..255 Input rid=3D0 pos=3D24 size=3D8 count=3D1 page=3DConsumer usage=3DUnassig= ned, logical range 0..255 These are obviously different items. --=20 You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.= From owner-freebsd-usb@freebsd.org Sat Aug 17 08:29:09 2019 Return-Path: Delivered-To: freebsd-usb@mailman.nyi.freebsd.org Received: from mx1.freebsd.org (mx1.freebsd.org [IPv6:2610:1c1:1:606c::19:1]) by mailman.nyi.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id A2273C01A0 for ; Sat, 17 Aug 2019 08:29:09 +0000 (UTC) (envelope-from bugzilla-noreply@freebsd.org) Received: from mailman.nyi.freebsd.org (unknown [127.0.1.3]) by mx1.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id 469YJ53rCBz47x3 for ; Sat, 17 Aug 2019 08:29:09 +0000 (UTC) (envelope-from bugzilla-noreply@freebsd.org) Received: by mailman.nyi.freebsd.org (Postfix) id 8395FC019F; Sat, 17 Aug 2019 08:29:09 +0000 (UTC) Delivered-To: usb@mailman.nyi.freebsd.org Received: from mx1.freebsd.org (mx1.freebsd.org [IPv6:2610:1c1:1:606c::19:1]) by mailman.nyi.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id 83612C019E for ; Sat, 17 Aug 2019 08:29:09 +0000 (UTC) (envelope-from bugzilla-noreply@freebsd.org) Received: from mxrelay.nyi.freebsd.org (mxrelay.nyi.freebsd.org [IPv6:2610:1c1:1:606c::19:3]) (using TLSv1.3 with cipher TLS_AES_256_GCM_SHA384 (256/256 bits) server-signature RSA-PSS (4096 bits) client-signature RSA-PSS (4096 bits) client-digest SHA256) (Client CN "mxrelay.nyi.freebsd.org", Issuer "Let's Encrypt Authority X3" (verified OK)) by mx1.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTPS id 469YJ52y99z47x1 for ; Sat, 17 Aug 2019 08:29:09 +0000 (UTC) (envelope-from bugzilla-noreply@freebsd.org) Received: from kenobi.freebsd.org (kenobi.freebsd.org [IPv6:2610:1c1:1:606c::50:1d]) (using TLSv1.2 with cipher ECDHE-RSA-AES256-GCM-SHA384 (256/256 bits)) (Client did not present a certificate) by mxrelay.nyi.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTPS id 468FAEF97 for ; Sat, 17 Aug 2019 08:29:09 +0000 (UTC) (envelope-from bugzilla-noreply@freebsd.org) Received: from kenobi.freebsd.org ([127.0.1.5]) by kenobi.freebsd.org (8.15.2/8.15.2) with ESMTP id x7H8T9NE056949 for ; Sat, 17 Aug 2019 08:29:09 GMT (envelope-from bugzilla-noreply@freebsd.org) Received: (from www@localhost) by kenobi.freebsd.org (8.15.2/8.15.2/Submit) id x7H8T9Ot056948 for usb@FreeBSD.org; Sat, 17 Aug 2019 08:29:09 GMT (envelope-from bugzilla-noreply@freebsd.org) X-Authentication-Warning: kenobi.freebsd.org: www set sender to bugzilla-noreply@freebsd.org using -f From: bugzilla-noreply@freebsd.org To: usb@FreeBSD.org Subject: [Bug 239918] usbhidctl(1): include item position in report descriptor dump Date: Sat, 17 Aug 2019 08:29:09 +0000 X-Bugzilla-Reason: AssignedTo X-Bugzilla-Type: changed X-Bugzilla-Watch-Reason: None X-Bugzilla-Product: Base System X-Bugzilla-Component: usb X-Bugzilla-Version: 12.0-RELEASE X-Bugzilla-Keywords: X-Bugzilla-Severity: Affects Only Me X-Bugzilla-Who: hselasky@FreeBSD.org X-Bugzilla-Status: New X-Bugzilla-Resolution: X-Bugzilla-Priority: --- X-Bugzilla-Assigned-To: hselasky@FreeBSD.org X-Bugzilla-Flags: X-Bugzilla-Changed-Fields: cc assigned_to Message-ID: In-Reply-To: References: Content-Type: text/plain; charset="UTF-8" Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable X-Bugzilla-URL: https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/ Auto-Submitted: auto-generated MIME-Version: 1.0 X-BeenThere: freebsd-usb@freebsd.org X-Mailman-Version: 2.1.29 Precedence: list List-Id: FreeBSD support for USB List-Unsubscribe: , List-Archive: List-Post: List-Help: List-Subscribe: , X-List-Received-Date: Sat, 17 Aug 2019 08:29:09 -0000 https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=3D239918 Hans Petter Selasky changed: What |Removed |Added ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- CC| |hselasky@FreeBSD.org Assignee|usb@FreeBSD.org |hselasky@FreeBSD.org --=20 You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.=
