Bugzilla Automation <bugzilla@FreeBSD.org> has asked freebsd-elastic (Nobod= y) <elastic@FreeBSD.org> for maintainer-feedback: Bug 249142: sysutils/beats7: filebeat rc.d script missing -f flag to daemon https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=3D249142 --- Description --- The rc.d filebeat script should probably pass the -f flag to daemon command, which would send stdout and stderr to /dev/null. Because it's missing, at l= est SaltStack is hanging indefinitely on service start/restart. See https://github.com/saltstack/salt/issues/47445: > I've found the problem. The rc.d script was not written properly. The com= mand /usr/sbin/daemon should have '-f' flag to redirect stdout to /dev/null.
