(In reply to Kubilay Kocak from comment #15)

John, could you please you apply your changes to all lang/python* ports that
currently contain DISABLED_EXTENSIONS, and confirm QA passes for those too.

Also, since packaging doesnt fail in all cases, I believe we should be bump=
ing
PORTREVISION for all of them too.

--- Comment #1 from Kubilay Kocak <koobs@FreeBSD.org> ---
Thanks for this report so quick after the user conversation about it Jan :)

Seems fine. I wonder if there are there any considerations we need to think
about, say when a default version changes (for packages) or if/when a user
changes their default_version, or other situation.

--- Comment #17 from John Hein <jcfyecrayz@liamekaens.com> ---
(In reply to Kubilay Kocak from comment #16)
The changes are not applicable to python36 - the new Modules/Setup was not
backported to python36. So we can't change how python36 disables extensions
(unless perhaps the Modules/Setup support is backported manually, but I thi=
nk
it is not necessary to spend energy on that).

It is not needed for python37 because the 'disabled_modules_list' hack works
fine. But it does have the new *disabled* marker support in Modules/Setup =
(by
inspection - not tested). As mentioned in the original comment, we could a=
pply
the same change to python37 and remove patch-issue20210. Since that should
work and is quite simple, I will put together another patch rev which does =
so
as an option. Just for historical trivia - it looks like the *disabled* ma=
rker
support was available even in python-3.7.1

0001-Add-ports-for-bazarr-and-bazarr-devel.patch

bazarr 0.9.5
bazarr-devel 0.9.6-beta.18

Bazarr is a companion application to Sonarr and Radarr that manages and
downloads subtitles based on your requirements.

- net-p2p/bazarr uses latest stable release
- net-p2p/bazarr-devel uses beta builds (created automatically from
development branch once a day, if there were changes to that branch)
- Ports dont have bundled dependencies unbundled (yet).
Talked this over with upstream, they are not going to unbundle
for support-workload avoidance and ease-of-install they get from the
fact they bundle all dependencies on specific versions.
- Reserve UID and GID for bazarr daemon process
- Add to net-p2p/Makefile

I did not unbundle the python dependencies (like discussed before on PR 243=
967)
as there are many, and upstream is not going to do this as they bundled
specific versions to make their support load manageble.

Moved from a static pkg-plist to a TMPPLIST like it was done for the tautul=
li
port to make maintaining that a bit easier for me.

--- Comment #19 from John Hein <jcfyecrayz@liamekaens.com> ---
(In reply to Kubilay Kocak from comment #16)
I forgot to answer the PORTREVISION comment. I don't think we need to bump
PORTREVISION. There's no change to the package. The extra cruft in the
staging directory is not included in the package. It's just that check-pli=
st
pedantically throws an error (and there are some extra unnecessary cpu cycl=
es
spent on building the extensions).

I suggest we shall commit the patch for python39 first,
then ask for a exp-run for a full test of python38.

--- Comment #8 from Kubilay Kocak <koobs@FreeBSD.org> ---
(In reply to Wen Heping from comment #7)

This doesn't need an exp-run, the builds fail when disabling the LIBFFI opt=
ion,
because its not longer bundled. The only possible successful build is with
system (ports) libffi, which is what it defaults to now.

Subject: FreeBSD ports you maintain which are out of date
X-Mailer: portscout/0.8.1
X-ThisMailContainsUnwantedMimeParts: N

Dear port maintainer,

The portscout new distfile checker has detected that one or more of your
ports appears to be out of date. Please take the opportunity to check
each of the ports listed below, and if possible and appropriate,
submit/commit an update. If any ports have already been updated, you can
safely ignore the entry.

You will not be e-mailed again for any of the port/version combinations
below.

Full details can be found at the following URL:
http://portscout.freebsd.org/python@freebsd.org.html

Port | Current version | New version
------------------------------------------------+-----------------+------------
textproc/py-humanfriendly | 9.1 | 9.2
------------------------------------------------+-----------------+------------

If any of the above results are invalid, please check the following page
for details on how to improve portscout's detection and selection of
distfiles on a per-port basis:
