** The following ports have a version number that sorts before a previous one **

For many package tools to work correctly, it is of utmost importance that
version numbers of a port form a monotonic increasing sequence over time.
Refer to the FreeBSD Porter's Handbook, 'Package Naming Conventions' for
more information. Tools that won't work include pkg_version, portupgrade
and portaudit. A common error is an accidental deletion of PORTEPOCH.

Please fix any errors as soon as possible.

The ports tree was updated at Mon Nov 8 2021 12:30:00 UTC.

Dear port maintainer,

The portscout new distfile checker has detected that one or more of your
ports appears to be out of date. Please take the opportunity to check
each of the ports listed below, and if possible and appropriate,
submit/commit an update. If any ports have already been updated, you can
safely ignore the entry.

You will not be e-mailed again for any of the port/version combinations
below.

Full details can be found at the following URL:
http://portscout.freebsd.org/python@freebsd.org.html

I've solved the problem with installing buildbot 3 from pip into a jail, wi=
thin
a user directory. Completed some scripts for it, stole and adjusted the
pkg-originated startup script, works like a charm now.

py-setuptools_scm-6.3.2.patch

Attached is a rebased patch of sunpoet@'s original patch with a small addit=
ion
to get a working testsuite. The testsuite makes use of devel/py-virtualenv=
 but
requires a more recent version of it. This will be noted explicitly in the
next release of devel/py-setuptools_scm:

https://github.com/pypa/setuptools_scm/commit/b2a2e3982d0c0ba31d902e68b94b9=
bded3cbe13a

The tests that use virtualenv works fine with a local version of virtualenv=
.=20
By the way, the TOML option will diseappear with the next release as well:

https://github.com/pypa/setuptools_scm/commit/0d3d694930e85b2277c148c7b02b1=
f4e29b2a79e

I still need some time for QA and if everything goes well, setuptools_scm 6=
.3.2
should land to the end of this week.

(In reply to Po-Chuan Hsieh from comment #3)

Thanks for the pointers!

The ports tree was updated at Tue Nov 9 2021 12:30:00 UTC.

Hi xin3qu@protonmail.com,

Are you interested in maintaining the port? It looks like I currently don't
have time to maintain this port adequatly.

--- Comment #3 from Dmitry Marakasov <amdmi3@FreeBSD.org> ---
(In reply to Kubilay Kocak from comment #2)
I don't see a reason for an exp-run just now - as I understand this change =
does
not affect any existing configurations. I expect consumer build failures to=
 be
plentiful on this stage, for instance cython does not support 3.11 yet. I p=
lan
to identify (most) failures and update USES=3Dpython version accordingly th=
e same
way I've recently (mostly) done for 3.10.

After that it would make sense to do an exp-run for both 3.10 and 3.11 to
identify remaining failures (I currently only run on */py-* ports).

The ports tree was updated at Wed Nov 10 2021 12:30:00 UTC.

I forgot to set the maintainer feedback on my last comment. The user interf=

Port | Current version | New version
------------------------------------------------+-----------------+------------

If any of the above results are invalid, please check the following page
for details on how to improve portscout's detection and selection of
distfiles on a per-port basis:

updated portdirectory

I updated my isso port. It requires py-flask-caching as a dependency, which=
 I
submit as a new port.

The port builds with poudriere on 12.2 and works on my server, portlint says
"looks fine".

    devel/py-setuptools_scm: Update to 6.3.2 [1]

    * Sort variables and use WRKSRC instead TEST_WRKSRC as the latter should
be only used if it differs from WRKSRC. [1]

    * Exclude some tests that require a more recent version of
      devel/py-virtualenv for now.

    Changelog since 5.0.2:

** The following ports have a version number that sorts before a previous one **

For many package tools to work correctly, it is of utmost importance that
version numbers of a port form a monotonic increasing sequence over time.
Refer to the FreeBSD Porter's Handbook, 'Package Naming Conventions' for
more information. Tools that won't work include pkg_version, portupgrade
and portaudit. A common error is an accidental deletion of PORTEPOCH.

Please fix any errors as soon as possible.

The ports tree was updated at Fri Nov 12 2021 12:30:00 UTC.

Port | Current version | New version
------------------------------------------------+-----------------+------------
devel/py-ipyparallel | 6.3.0 | 8.0.0
------------------------------------------------+-----------------+------------
devel/py-nbconvert | 6.2.0 | 6.3.0
------------------------------------------------+-----------------+------------

If any of the above results are invalid, please check the following page
for details on how to improve portscout's detection and selection of
distfiles on a per-port basis:
