The file was removed during the upgrade from libc++ 15.0 to 16.0, while its contents was split into a subdirectory named __tuple_dir. In libc++ 17.0.0 they renamed this subdirectory back to just __tuple. This means that apparently people are not running "make delete-old" after installations. Please don't forget that. :) -Dimitry --Apple-Mail=_7C889743-D49F-4862-BDA9-9A04C2E6ADBA Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit Content-Disposition: attachment; filename=signature.asc Content-Type: application/pgp-signature; name=signature.asc Content-Description: Message signed with OpenPGP -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG/MacGPG2 v2.2 iF0EARECAB0WIQR6tGLSzjX8bUI5T82wXqMKLiCWowUCZXXqnAAKCRCwXqMKLiCW o2hHAKCclEhuMfK07nGGpNY2PYd04AF9AgCgjbsrPMMYXIrpExg677HbmvlIjHI= =QF6X -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- --Apple-Mail=_7C889743-D49F-4862-BDA9-9A04C2E6ADBA-- From nobody Tue Dec 12 02:19:05 2023 X-Original-To: freebsd-current@mlmmj.nyi.freebsd.org Received: from mx1.freebsd.org (mx1.freebsd.org [IPv6:2610:1c1:1:606c::19:1]) by mlmmj.nyi.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id 4Sq2Nz6h1dz53BhX for ; Tue, 12 Dec 2023 02:19:15 +0000 (UTC) (envelope-from andy@sentex.tech) Received: from sentex.tech (mail.sentex.tech [174.138.53.59]) (using TLSv1.3 with cipher TLS_AES_256_GCM_SHA384 (256/256 bits) key-exchange X25519 server-signature RSA-PSS (4096 bits) server-digest SHA256 client-signature RSA-PSS (2048 bits) client-digest SHA256) (Client CN "digitalocean", Issuer "digitalocean" (not verified)) by mx1.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTPS id 4Sq2Ny74wdz3WJx for ; Tue, 12 Dec 2023 02:19:14 +0000 (UTC) (envelope-from andy@sentex.tech) Authentication-Results: mx1.freebsd.org; dkim=none; spf=none (mx1.freebsd.org: domain of andy@sentex.tech has no SPF policy when checking 174.138.53.59) smtp.mailfrom=andy@sentex.tech; dmarc=none Received: from mail.sentex.tech (mail.sentex.tech [174.138.53.59]) by sentex.tech (8.17.1/8.15.2) with ESMTPS id 3BC2J51R044766 (version=TLSv1.3 cipher=TLS_AES_256_GCM_SHA384 bits=256 verify=NO) for ; Mon, 11 Dec 2023 21:19:06 -0500 (EST) (envelope-from andy@sentex.tech) Date: Mon, 11 Dec 2023 21:19:05 -0500 (EST) From: AN To: freebsd-current@FreeBSD.org Subject: upgrade failure Message-ID: <84a4c226-54a5-341a-40c0-eb706d69f4a7@sentex.tech> List-Id: Discussions about the use of FreeBSD-current List-Archive: https://lists.freebsd.org/archives/freebsd-current List-Help: List-Post: List-Subscribe: List-Unsubscribe: Sender: owner-freebsd-current@freebsd.org MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: text/plain; format=flowed; charset=US-ASCII X-Spam-Status: No, score=-5.0 required=5.0 tests=RCVD_IN_DNSWL_HI, SPF_HELO_NONE,SPF_NONE autolearn=unavailable autolearn_force=no version=4.0.0 X-Spam-Checker-Version: SpamAssassin 4.0.0 (2022-12-14) on mail.sentex.tech X-Virus-Scanned: clamav-milter 1.1.0 at my.mail.server.name X-Virus-Status: Clean X-Spamd-Result: default: False [1.20 / 15.00]; AUTH_NA(1.00)[]; NEURAL_HAM_LONG(-0.99)[-0.990]; NEURAL_SPAM_MEDIUM(0.72)[0.725]; NEURAL_SPAM_SHORT(0.56)[0.565]; MIME_GOOD(-0.10)[text/plain]; R_DKIM_NA(0.00)[]; ASN(0.00)[asn:14061, ipnet:174.138.48.0/20, country:US]; DMARC_NA(0.00)[sentex.tech]; FROM_EQ_ENVFROM(0.00)[]; MLMMJ_DEST(0.00)[freebsd-current@FreeBSD.org]; MIME_TRACE(0.00)[0:+]; RCVD_COUNT_ONE(0.00)[1]; R_SPF_NA(0.00)[no SPF record]; RCPT_COUNT_ONE(0.00)[1]; TO_DN_NONE(0.00)[]; FREEFALL_USER(0.00)[andy]; ARC_NA(0.00)[]; RCVD_TLS_ALL(0.00)[]; FROM_HAS_DN(0.00)[]; PREVIOUSLY_DELIVERED(0.00)[freebsd-current@freebsd.org]; TO_MATCH_ENVRCPT_ALL(0.00)[]; MID_RHS_MATCH_FROM(0.00)[] X-Rspamd-Queue-Id: 4Sq2Ny74wdz3WJx X-Spamd-Bar: + I just had this failure trying to upgrade from 14 to 15. We might need something to cope with this during the install target for libc++ in particular where this has occurred multiple times historically. -- John Baldwin From nobody Wed Dec 13 19:03:26 2023 X-Original-To: freebsd-current@mlmmj.nyi.freebsd.org Received: from mx1.freebsd.org (mx1.freebsd.org [IPv6:2610:1c1:1:606c::19:1]) by mlmmj.nyi.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id 4Sr4dP4Pq0z549pX for ; Wed, 13 Dec 2023 19:03:37 +0000 (UTC) (envelope-from dim@FreeBSD.org) Received: from smtp.freebsd.org (smtp.freebsd.org [IPv6:2610:1c1:1:606c::24b:4]) (using TLSv1.3 with cipher TLS_AES_256_GCM_SHA384 (256/256 bits) key-exchange X25519 server-signature RSA-PSS (4096 bits) server-digest SHA256 client-signature RSA-PSS (4096 bits) client-digest SHA256) (Client CN "smtp.freebsd.org", Issuer "R3" (verified OK)) by mx1.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTPS id 4Sr4dP3tyzz4R98 for ; Wed, 13 Dec 2023 19:03:37 +0000 (UTC) (envelope-from dim@FreeBSD.org) DKIM-Signature: v=1; a=rsa-sha256; c=relaxed/relaxed; d=freebsd.org; s=dkim; t=1702494217; h=from:from:reply-to:subject:subject:date:date:message-id:message-id: to:to:cc:mime-version:mime-version:content-type:content-type: content-transfer-encoding:content-transfer-encoding: in-reply-to:in-reply-to:references:references; bh=C+nl4ZWeibDDOR4FfOx/867YPZl+U4pLhEIJIEXt/xc=; b=UM+qTqRS8+b0RNE0hmYOC3N3sm5h5CQxI0pnrWIrRhEEw8wLH2qDR3eVh9txrnNDZtP1VY 09QAVWDjKC5BdYB32g0uaPSmA0h2a+V2i1ndxC/D4zhySm5VZ6a6czTDCEAriMfPzptDe8 wbVxkoc2/wkjB+Mcd7+ypDj9tYd2dCykbGgzL5HQROVXFH1WspppZdMFzVIq69aj5ziz2l 8j+l9AblthWjCxZEqzP15nVOkPKr/NpfyJ8Xu2uP8gp9pDS+r9WofqReU4rtp4Uw5IbZmx FPkMgyxoZvy1N742+AKmQpsh1XL6MS6IWhRPwAN89auqjxIMroePh14WG+wUWg== ARC-Seal: i=1; s=dkim; d=freebsd.org; t=1702494217; a=rsa-sha256; cv=none; b=vqhZg2Xunk4jaq6sOIKvQFVKZcllvghAA9lqFaj4mo2Cg8noXuYRH6uxDH5qVDEgJFMmxl 5xcfa5315dDwZgFlBqr438YWMagQ7Sx9G5UhgGM83xK5WM9IH63r7w7oqpGyPZNlruJE6j L66ZyHKu8cAw4buEpON3aansKJ+x9muOx3Gt9MZJEzSIcAV/Re5hce2ynTB3xgdTQVelSL txP7fdpiBPgbykqzZktzojfksVUqTzTihn5AlE1fdbSAoTeRG8Ck/YieIoZVI7jVzGUWuo Z6e/Ls971ZTFEg2My1TmvXWTkZyKLJCpXGGMRuspyyaemTiS+zUU69QT/2sUHg== ARC-Authentication-Results: i=1; mx1.freebsd.org; none ARC-Message-Signature: i=1; a=rsa-sha256; c=relaxed/relaxed; d=freebsd.org; s=dkim; t=1702494217; h=from:from:reply-to:subject:subject:date:date:message-id:message-id: to:to:cc:mime-version:mime-version:content-type:content-type: content-transfer-encoding:content-transfer-encoding: in-reply-to:in-reply-to:references:references; bh=C+nl4ZWeibDDOR4FfOx/867YPZl+U4pLhEIJIEXt/xc=; b=n9GjNklWr/DO6X3THmjmyjcUoDg6pdOE1CdQr/Qx9qIUqQkFkd3eUzWsOYpvRxL+Y6YO+A sDxllxwMgpDbaXRiLYxUtFf2zZcg+A4aMF8GwPxAD7OVeIPpumaKbWnqoo5Q/AhoxWifSm Dv0OD1c/reLhMXVSPCSdDe8YSVhddkhjAyWywrKt1s3AGVnYIrpkj6fPuNPgWg0l3kQiGk 29ceD7O+SE/8YJrjRq/d1jDjQvIGZOHVdjzmKjlu1YNsBQeI0rKpHzsUd/egiskYdQ7fzC 5X5/Gjvu37oM2TcC51VQOwAYL6DRMgwFGXY2OFs2gpkh6MsgA7J+AW5ZiW1pCQ== Received: from tensor.andric.com (tensor.andric.com [87.251.56.140]) (using TLSv1.3 with cipher TLS_AES_256_GCM_SHA384 (256/256 bits) key-exchange X25519 server-signature RSA-PSS (4096 bits) server-digest SHA256 client-signature RSA-PSS (2048 bits) client-digest SHA256) (Client CN "tensor.andric.com", Issuer "R3" (verified OK)) (Authenticated sender: dim) by smtp.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTPSA id 4Sr4dP25gkz1NV5 for ; Wed, 13 Dec 2023 19:03:37 +0000 (UTC) (envelope-from dim@FreeBSD.org) Received: from smtpclient.apple (longrow.home.andric.com [192.168.0.17]) (using TLSv1.2 with cipher ECDHE-RSA-AES256-GCM-SHA384 (256/256 bits)) (No client certificate requested) by tensor.andric.com (Postfix) with ESMTPSA id 3F3AB39ED7 for ; Wed, 13 Dec 2023 20:03:36 +0100 (CET) From: Dimitry Andric Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable List-Id: Discussions about the use of FreeBSD-current List-Archive: https://lists.freebsd.org/archives/freebsd-current List-Help: List-Post: List-Subscribe: List-Unsubscribe: Sender: owner-freebsd-current@freebsd.org Mime-Version: 1.0 (Mac OS X Mail 16.0 \(3731.700.6\)) Subject: Re: make installworld fails because /usr/include/c++/v1/__tuple is a file Date: Wed, 13 Dec 2023 20:03:26 +0100 References: <0A30C164-E509-45D1-8BAB-0B44A4E191F5@FreeBSD.org> To: Current FreeBSD In-Reply-To: Message-Id: <5AD93DB8-F1D1-451D-BB93-FDC405A7B29F@FreeBSD.org> X-Mailer: Apple Mail (2.3731.700.6) On 13 Dec 2023, at 19:07, John Baldwin wrote: >=20 > On 12/10/23 8:43 AM, Dimitry Andric wrote: >> On 10 Dec 2023, at 15:11, Herbert J. I have now added a workaround for this scenario, which is apparently more common than I thought: = https://cgit.freebsd.org/src/commit/?id=3Dca217224f17229570f40227893353ca1= 0ae1dda1 -Dimitry From nobody Fri Dec 15 00:01:03 2023 X-Original-To: freebsd-current@mlmmj.nyi.freebsd.org Received: from mx1.freebsd.org (mx1.freebsd.org [IPv6:2610:1c1:1:606c::19:1]) by mlmmj.nyi.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id 4SrqB82VmJz53y9J; Fri, 15 Dec 2023 00:01:04 +0000 (UTC) (envelope-from salvadore@freebsd.org) Received: from freefall.freebsd.org (freefall.freebsd.org [96.47.72.132]) (using TLSv1.3 with cipher TLS_AES_256_GCM_SHA384 (256/256 bits) key-exchange X25519 server-signature RSA-PSS (4096 bits) server-digest SHA256 client-signature RSA-PSS (4096 bits) client-digest SHA256) (Client CN "freefall.freebsd.org", Issuer "R3" (verified OK)) by mx1.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTPS id 4SrqB80rxwz3Qxj; Fri, 15 Dec 2023 00:01:04 +0000 (UTC) (envelope-from salvadore@freebsd.org) DKIM-Signature: v=1; a=rsa-sha256; c=relaxed/relaxed; d=freebsd.org; s=dkim; t=1702598464; h=from:from:reply-to:subject:subject:date:date:message-id:message-id: to:to:cc:cc; bh=YF66Xbo7DtIymXgG7zxCiG7zwTK4LgD8DcJExWS2xFM=; b=VjMVZ9upip24w0GKXXwcBfP+Q5mxRVdGCbcC0VIXrl/aoON2/MNc2VYUmhvWmJTQGZhpCD Q4zM3Jgl3vsZ3Zngxt/6Os8dfBZzowT8zETxzYHXFH7Xzr+qM15HO01ileiB2X+A52TL6v 8N9FJ64EuCNE+vmALYQLVVVgOMztnZZVlqGK5SZFWYgSUE++4A8qWD3DNcAYG8QRMwmU00 cfxje5SqOjlAct6+lfkMBnH7LtN6IIZtXOCswaMsF5rO12gN7V9YJCvcUUyGtyWCXOtfHU 4I2ttbwCEesMQ0VJXi1Br0UM2j8agFA6wnf6I2p5zN550g0Xxt3ySekgnL78Kg== ARC-Seal: i=1; s=dkim; d=freebsd.org; t=1702598464; a=rsa-sha256; cv=none; b=j/xBem3gYznX5HdSiGHUTcWDjzjP8+1aOAh0EuZbWt0CYeMvasMn2a8pvV74u0AU0j8bFD H3QzeKq8Ppg93uq4FaW6LF86Fa17W2gjiT/LnT8VK2mag5cFySEKvDCnmQY++fe7srd/Zc hXf56VjIGZ6RFbemlpxafAcZqy1Sa6XjuBHRw7nAV9ca2jJJcwnoQlXBK8YDGBTF+XFEbs pnBzuIwPInecQC9yWF+MhbsFUDs3/jMBt5YbTw8YzZIH+mn3ySnqlR6DDzAAp/YMzPIiPs 7VeTAYMpXRRFXG8WFAdvXCCnY1HLPLg+h5wYWZPqfrvYfCfXTGNoQDTB6gQo3g== ARC-Authentication-Results: i=1; mx1.freebsd.org; none ARC-Message-Signature: i=1; a=rsa-sha256; c=relaxed/relaxed; d=freebsd.org; s=dkim; t=1702598464; h=from:from:reply-to:subject:subject:date:date:message-id:message-id: to:to:cc:cc; bh=YF66Xbo7DtIymXgG7zxCiG7zwTK4LgD8DcJExWS2xFM=; b=gT04vV9drmSTE9jGQV+csjLD70BRhkodLoWuTA5e2UZaCb21Zy8Y4lySYjmshhZSH6a0bi 8qlZZmVy6GxGUuszPRqm/x/EMJ4YufmRZngcONEkQo1Gv269KOtEFHFqQbGyB+1hpms7SA 4EDLGLXnYVg3HkRMm9zoEJkdI1m8hNIok36OxlbgHxcBkXVoAXfCi90+AxnMT82NIAv08z 1huu+qUD9ae2+DpkqjnKY58L/gs+PYr70Ix9Abnkt5AXK6kDRHCc8fcZLAg7O3vPutmh0/ 9xrUp+jxZbPfKocm0vOXfT5URivRcKzvH4LuNLvQkLrWykMA1iLRnwKMJiPTFA== Received: by freefall.freebsd.org (Postfix, from userid 1472) id F06E18FBD; Fri, 15 Dec 2023 00:01:03 +0000 (UTC) To: freebsd-status-calls@FreeBSD.org Subject: [2 WEEKS LEFT REMINDER] Call for 2023Q4 status reports Cc: freebsd-current@FreeBSD.org,freebsd-hackers@FreeBSD.org,devsummit@FreeBSD.org Message-Id: <20231215000103.F06E18FBD@freefall.freebsd.org> Date: Fri, 15 Dec 2023 00:01:03 +0000 (UTC) From: Lorenzo Salvadore List-Id: Discussions about the use of FreeBSD-current List-Archive: https://lists.freebsd.org/archives/freebsd-current List-Help: List-Post: List-Subscribe: List-Unsubscribe: Sender: owner-freebsd-current@freebsd.org Dear FreeBSD Community, The deadline for the next FreeBSD Status Report update is December, 31st 2023 for work done since the last round of quarterly reports: October 2023 - December 2023. I would like to remind you that reports are published on a quarterly basis and are usually collected during the last month of each quarter, You are also welcome to submit them even earlier if you want, and the earlier you submit them, the more time we have for reviewing. Status report submissions do not need to be very long. They may be about anything happening in the FreeBSD project and community, and they provide a great way to inform FreeBSD users and developers about work that is underway or has been completed. Report submissions are not limited to committers; anyone doing anything interesting and FreeBSD related can -- and should -- write one! The following methods are available to submit your reports: * submit a review on Phabricator and add the group "status" to the reviewers list. You should put your reports in the directory doc/website/content/en/status/report-2023-10-2023-12/ (create it if it is missing); * submit a pull request at . You should put your reports in the directory doc/website/content/en/status/report-2023-10-2023-12/ (create it if it is missing); * send an email to status-submissions@FreeBSD.org including your report. An AsciiDoc template is available at . We look forward to seeing your 2023Q4 reports! Thanks, Lorenzo Salvadore (on behalf of status@)
