So let's say that you are currently running a bulk and you want to add another test build it will queue to the commands and automatically start the new build once the previous one finishes. One more thing this was BROKEN for a long while but it is supposed to work again with the latest poudriere version. Tests show it is related to the JAIL build-time configuration option. JAIL=off: Options for running snmpd within a jail(8) If off, the default, Memory Usage is available via snmpd. If on, it is not. One might ask: why have it on if not running in a jail? Simplicity: I build my own packages. I could have one repo specifically for hosts (i.e. non-jails), but until now, it's never been an issue. However, I want to point that that JAIL=off does not seem to affect usage within a jail. It becomes clear what JAIL does when looking at the Makefile: .if ${PORT_OPTIONS:MJAIL} NET_SNMP_WITHOUT_MIB_MODULE_LIST+= host NET_SNMP_WITHOUT_MIB_MODULE_LIST+= ucd-snmp/memory CONFIGURE_ARGS+= --without-kmem-usage .endif Not it's clear. Don't report host-like objects when within a jail. It is time for some flavors on this port? I know I'd like one for my use: one without the above and with. I'll see if I can mangle something up which works. -- Dan Langille dan@langille.org From nobody Thu Dec 28 18:24:43 2023 X-Original-To: freebsd-ports@mlmmj.nyi.freebsd.org Received: from mx1.freebsd.org (mx1.freebsd.org [IPv6:2610:1c1:1:606c::19:1]) by mlmmj.nyi.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id 4T1H4C1cgRz56JH9 for ; Can we please have at least BASIC continues integration for ports? Just check that it can be build and if tests exist then it run without errors. Or a bit advanced CI that also will build ports with all SSL/SAMBA/LLVM/etc versions. portlint and other atochekers and helpers can be integrateg to CI too. This all will make life easy for maiteiner and users will more happy. Also will be very nice to move from phabricator+Bugzilla to something more modern and useful, like gitea/gitlab... Hi,

I have a valid ZFS pool assigned to the ZPOOL variable.

poudriere creates these directories in this pool:

poudriere/

poudriere/jails

These directories remain empty.

poudriere works fine, but after the reboot all built packages disappear, and poudriere begins to rebuild them from scratch.

I believe that ZPOOL either worked before, or it have never worked, because ZOOL was set like this for a long time without package disappearing.

What is wrong?

Thanks,

Yuri

Hi,

I have a valid ZFS pool assigned to the ZPOOL variable.

poudriere creates these directories in this pool:

poudriere/

poudri= ere/jails

Thanks,

Yuri

The ZPOOL variable was changed several times in the past. Poudriere operates by creating ZFS datasets. These datasets are mounted at different points under /usr/local/poudriere, and such mounts are persistent, and re-created during ZFS initialization. When ZPOOL is changed, the old datasets become invalid and should be removed. The question is: who should remove them? The current answer appears to be: nobody removes them. poudriere just reuses the invalid datasets that are mounted on the ZFS pools that aren't currently configured to use poudriere. So I think that some sort of confusion related to the invalid datasets caused the original issue for me. The problem is gone once I deleted all poudriere-related datasets by hand. I don't really understand what you are complaining about. poudriere has a data directory, it is in a variable named ZPOOL. You changed that data directory, poudriere is then half broken. Ok, seems right. I am quite sure that most software that have a datadir, like, most games, if you change the datadir mid flight and not move stuff yourself, those software will be half broken too. --=20 Mathieu Arnold --aj3btzu7btt7vmtd Content-Type: application/pgp-signature;
