As things have progressed, it is now clear that 2.2.1 still has a concave up structure for this debug-kernel (main-amd64) context, just with less curvature compared to the various 2.1.* versions, the actual comparison involved being against 2.1.2. (Faster systems make this harder to see. Slower ones make it easier to see.) As stands, at 33558 built, it has already taken somewhat over 2.3 times longer to get that far than using 2.0.6 took to finish, having built 35958 packages in the process with 2.0.6 involved. For ampere2's main-arm64/main-armv7 cycle, I'd not be surprised if each of those takes around 2 weeks when it is a (nearly) full rebuild of the packages. So a full cycle of such might take about a month. The longer intervals between builds of a specific type makes large rebuilds more common. It is too bad there could not be 2 builder machines for the main-arm64/main-armv7 pair: one using the non-debug kernel for more frequent distribution builds and one using the debug-kernel for testing main. =3D=3D=3D Mark Millard marklmi at yahoo.com From nobody Thu Jul 10 11:55:52 2025 X-Original-To: pkg@mlmmj.nyi.freebsd.org Received: from mx1.freebsd.org (mx1.freebsd.org [IPv6:2610:1c1:1:606c::19:1]) by mlmmj.nyi.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id 4bdCwW5nV2z60xpg for ; Thu, 10 Jul 2025 11:55:55 +0000 (UTC) (envelope-from SRS0=M8bA=ZX=klop.ws=ronald-lists@realworks.nl) Received: from smtp-relay-int-backup.realworks.nl (smtp-relay-int-backup.realworks.nl [87.255.56.188]) (using TLSv1.3 with cipher TLS_AES_256_GCM_SHA384 (256/256 bits) key-exchange X25519 server-signature RSA-PSS (4096 bits) server-digest SHA256) (Client did not present a certificate) by mx1.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTPS id 4bdCwV1H6Tz3DTQ for ; Thu, 10 Jul 2025 11:55:54 +0000 (UTC) (envelope-from SRS0=M8bA=ZX=klop.ws=ronald-lists@realworks.nl) Authentication-Results: mx1.freebsd.org; dkim=pass header.d=klop.ws header.s=rw2 header.b=YizGJNgL; spf=pass (mx1.freebsd.org: domain of "SRS0=M8bA=ZX=klop.ws=ronald-lists@realworks.nl" designates 87.255.56.188 as permitted sender) smtp.mailfrom="SRS0=M8bA=ZX=klop.ws=ronald-lists@realworks.nl"; dmarc=pass (policy=quarantine) header.from=klop.ws Received: from smtp-relay-int-backup.realworks.nl (crmpreview4.colo2.realworks.nl [10.2.52.34]) by mailrelayint2.colo2.realworks.nl (Postfix) with ESMTP id 4bdCwS6SDbzFd for ; Thu, 10 Jul 2025 13:55:52 +0200 (CEST) DKIM-Signature: v=1; a=rsa-sha256; c=relaxed/relaxed; d=klop.ws; s=rw2; t=1752148552; h=from:from:reply-to:subject:subject:date:date:message-id:message-id: to:to:cc:mime-version:mime-version:content-type:content-type; bh=U+uzLH5jUpIX39OS5nzwyLnuZXjpVoRYzwgcLdCXoLs=; b=YizGJNgLyz2OJkC/GCz2uLxJGZzyXk1Yoh2ziWrSLcBcHjEWdQy/qoLcG3ja2noNUQMjgh SgSW3kam69EDclV+6Q4C9nIl4wSuoaJTztFasFM9VGIyTUPLjL9QOhAee0/ZasUXQrXE3i 9di+aS1S0UL10gSu+FlAgCGcFOoukQA4pxRg7pb0epyxCFZyzboAmywVfKmDQahNSiBv+0 qEwExHRThOiXWbOOT+DkY8cB4+/MK2/Oa88uVKNGSJDLwyJ66xVojEYtpdArF/U0x98SYk KWXmvdmzJan9TBznpp2E9SfIOV7sIEPts5DZ/7zWTr/SaBda6Gb8EgKOn1sDSg== Received: from crmpreview4.colo2.realworks.nl (localhost [127.0.0.1]) by crmpreview4.colo2.realworks.nl (Postfix) with ESMTP id DBE241C0379 for ; Thu, 10 Jul 2025 13:55:52 +0200 (CEST) Date: Thu, 10 Jul 2025 13:55:52 +0200 (CEST) From: Ronald Klop To: pkg@freebsd.org Message-ID: <1101116113.6639.1752148552846@localhost> Subject: Ampere server for arm quarterly seems stuck List-Id: Binary package management and package tools discussion List-Archive: https://lists.freebsd.org/archives/freebsd-pkg List-Help: List-Post: List-Subscribe: List-Unsubscribe: Sender: owner-freebsd-pkg@FreeBSD.org MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: multipart/alternative; boundary="----=_Part_6638_48498519.1752148552844" X-Mailer: Realworks (756.46) X-Originating-Host: from (localhost [127.0.0.1]) by crmpreview4.colo2.realworks.nl [10.2.52.34] with HTTP; Thu, 10 Jul 2025 13:55:52 +0200 Importance: Normal X-Priority: 3 (Normal) X-Spamd-Result: default: False [0.79 / 15.00]; NEURAL_HAM_SHORT(-1.00)[-1.000]; NEURAL_SPAM_MEDIUM(1.00)[0.995]; NEURAL_SPAM_LONG(0.99)[0.990]; DMARC_POLICY_ALLOW(-0.50)[klop.ws,quarantine]; MID_RHS_NOT_FQDN(0.50)[]; FORGED_SENDER(0.30)[ronald-lists@klop.ws,SRS0=M8bA=ZX=klop.ws=ronald-lists@realworks.nl]; R_SPF_ALLOW(-0.20)[+ip4:87.255.56.128/26]; R_DKIM_ALLOW(-0.20)[klop.ws:s=rw2]; MIME_GOOD(-0.10)[multipart/alternative,text/plain]; MIME_TRACE(0.00)[0:+,1:+,2:~]; ASN(0.00)[asn:38930, ipnet:87.255.32.0/19, country:NL]; RCPT_COUNT_ONE(0.00)[1]; ARC_NA(0.00)[]; MLMMJ_DEST(0.00)[pkg@freebsd.org]; PREVIOUSLY_DELIVERED(0.00)[pkg@freebsd.org]; FROM_NEQ_ENVFROM(0.00)[ronald-lists@klop.ws,SRS0=M8bA=ZX=klop.ws=ronald-lists@realworks.nl]; FROM_HAS_DN(0.00)[]; RCVD_TLS_LAST(0.00)[]; HAS_X_PRIO_THREE(0.00)[3]; TO_DN_NONE(0.00)[]; RCVD_COUNT_TWO(0.00)[2]; TO_MATCH_ENVRCPT_ALL(0.00)[]; DKIM_TRACE(0.00)[klop.ws:+] X-Rspamd-Queue-Id: 4bdCwV1H6Tz3DTQ X-Spamd-Bar: / ------=_Part_6638_48498519.1752148552844 Content-Type: text/plain; charset=utf-8; format=flowed Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable Hi I don=E2=80=99t see any progress anymore https://pkg-status.freebsd.org/ampere1/ Can you kick it?
