Date: Sun, 10 Sep 1995 22:43:56 +0200 From: Mark Murray Sender: announce-owner@freebsd.org Precedence: bulk Hello World! (tm) I have now got CTM and SUP working for the international crypto code. Will those who want CTM deltas please mail me to get put on the list or ftp them from ftp.internat.freebsd.org:/pub/FreeBSD/CTM. (It may take a day or so for them to actiually get there, so please be patient!) There are two sets: int-src-cur for the eBones/ and secure/ source, and int-ctm-cur for the international CVS tree being maintained by myself. The cvs code will only be available by arrangement, and to those already with commit privelige at Walnut Creek. For those wanting SUP, aim your sup(1) client at sup.internat.freebsd.org and use one of the following supfiles: --------------------------supfile for current-------------------------- eBones release=current host=sup.internat.freebsd.org hostbase=/home base=/usr/src prefix=/usr/src delete old compress secure release=current host=sup.internat.freebsd.org hostbase=/home base=/usr/src prefix=/usr/src delete old compress --------------------------supfile for current-------------------------- --------------------------supfile for stable-------------------------- eBones release=stable host=sup.internat.freebsd.org hostbase=/home base=/usr/src prefix=/usr/src delete old compress secure release=stable host=sup.internat.freebsd.org hostbase=/home base=/usr/src prefix=/usr/src delete old compress --------------------------supfile for stable-------------------------- -- Mark Murray 46 Harvey Rd, Claremont, Cape Town 7700, South Africa +27 21 61-3768 GMT+0200 Finger mark@grumble.grondar.za for PGP key From owner-freebsd-announce Sat Sep 16 11:54:31 1995 Return-Path: owner-announce Received: (from root@localhost) by freefall.freebsd.org (8.6.12/8.6.6) id LAA29092 for announce-outgoing; Sat, 16 Sep 1995 11:54:31 -0700 Received: from grunt.grondar.za (grunt.grondar.za [196.7.18.129]) by freefall.freebsd.org (8.6.12/8.6.6) with ESMTP id LAA28981 for ; Sat, 16 Sep 1995 11:54:10 -0700 Received: from grumble.grondar.za (grumble.grondar.za [196.7.18.130]) by grunt.grondar.za (8.6.12/8.6.9) with ESMTP id UAA01781; Sat, 16 Sep 1995 20:53:43 +0200 Received: from localhost (localhost [127.0.0.1]) by grumble.grondar.za (8.6.12/8.6.9) with SMTP id UAA13921; Sat, 16 Sep 1995 20:53:42 +0200 Message-Id: <199509161853.UAA13921@grumble.grondar.za> X-Authentication-Warning: grumble.grondar.za: Host localhost didn't use HELO protocol To: announce@freebsd.org, freebsd-foreign-secure@internat.freebsd.org, foreign-secure-committers@internat.freebsd.org Subject: The foreign site is waking up!! Date: Sat, 16 Sep 1995 20:53:41 +0200 From: Mark Murray Sender: owner-announce@freebsd.org Precedence: bulk Hello All! A week or so ago I asked who would like to get the international edition of the crypto code. A number of you respomded, and I had the ill manners to do nothing about it. Truth is, I was already working on an improvement! We have changed the name of the official mirror site from skeleton.mikom.csir.co.za to internat.freebsd.org, and I now have sup working, and CTM poised to take off! The majordomo mailing lists are now hosted by majordomo@internat.freebsd.org, so please use that to join or leave. The two lists are freebsd-foreign-secure for participants and interested parties, and foreign-secure-committers for those who want to receive commit mail. In the next couple of days we will create accounts for those who want/need commit powers. For those of you who would like to sup the latest code, aim your sup client at sup.internat.freebsd.org, and ise one of the following supfiles: ------------2.1-stable------------------------------ eBones release=stable host=sup.internat.freebsd.org hostbase=/usr base=/usr/src prefix=/usr/src delete old compress secure release=stable host=sup.internat.freebsd.org hostbase=/usr base=/usr/src prefix=/usr/src delete old compress ------------2.1-stable------------------------------ ------------2.2-current----------------------------- eBones release=current host=sup.internat.freebsd.org hostbase=/home base=/usr/src prefix=/usr/src delete old compress secure release=current host=sup.internat.freebsd.org hostbase=/home base=/usr/src prefix=/usr/src delete old compress ------------2.2-current----------------------------- If you want to be mailed the CTM's - please mail me and ask to be put on the list, CLEARLY MENTIONING wehther you want the sources or the cvs repository, or both. Once the flood of requests has settled, I will turn on the CTM messages, probably in a day or 3. Enjoy! The answer is an enthusiastic "Yes! By all means!" We can always use a plug, and I'd certainly be happy to see the logo gracing the pages of any machine using FreeBSD to provide WEB service; help spread the word on your favorite OS! I think it also goes without saying that using the logo to plug something more risque', like "The Amazing Wanda and her Wonder Weasel", is not really encouraged. No censorship or moral judgement implied, we'd simply prefer more conservative uses of the logo, like the bottoms of ISP pages or personal web servers dedicated to themes other than kiddie porn and snuff movies.. :) Jordan P.S. Now if you want to send *me* pointers to "The Amazing Wanda" pages or similar material, well, that's a different matter entirely as it falls under the category of "legitimate network research." :-) Thanks!
