I would appreciate it if you people running CVSup mirrors for FreeBSD would upgrade soon to the new version. I want to make some changes to the server configuration files for the FreeBSD collections, and the changes rely on features present only in the 15.0 release. If you are mirroring the FreeBSD collections and don't upgrade, the changes will cause problems for you. There is only one compatibility issue that might affect you. If you are mirroring the "gnats" collection, chdir into "/usr/local/etc/cvsup/prefixes/FreeBSD-gnats.current", and do an "ls -l gnats". Make sure that "gnats" is a directory, rather than a symbolic link to a directory. If "gnats" is a symbolic link, then figure out what its true parent directory is (chdir gnats/.. ; /bin/pwd). Make the symbolic link "/usr/local/etc/cvsup/prefixes/FreeBSD-gnats.current" point to the true parent. If you don't do this, the new version will complain, but it will still do the right thing. See the "Announce" file for more details. I will take care of upgrading freefall and burka.rdy.com. Thanks, John -- John Polstra jdp@polstra.com John D. Polstra & Co., Inc.
