Message-ID: MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: TEXT/PLAIN; charset=US-ASCII Sender: owner-freebsd-hubs@FreeBSD.ORG Precedence: bulk X-Loop: FreeBSD.org hi, is anyone making the 4.1.1 image available via rsync ? i've been waiting for a few days now to see if the only `major' freebsd (ftpX.freebsd.org) archive offering rsync access has been updated but it hasn't happened. (ftp5 if you have to know :-) i've had a number of people asking me for the 4.1.1 iso locally and i was trying to rsync it over a copy of the 4.1 iso image to save time/money on the download. cheers, -jason To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-hubs" in the body of the message From owner-freebsd-hubs Thu Sep 28 18:38: 1 2000 Delivered-To: freebsd-hubs@freebsd.org Received: from orthanc.ab.ca (207-167-15-66.dsl.worldgate.ca [207.167.15.66]) by hub.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id 459CC37B423 for ; Thu, 28 Sep 2000 18:37:57 -0700 (PDT) Received: from orthanc.ab.ca (localhost [127.0.0.1]) by orthanc.ab.ca (8.11.0.Beta3/8.11.0.Beta3) with ESMTP id e8T1bk141424; Thu, 28 Sep 2000 19:37:46 -0600 (MDT) Message-Id: <200009290137.e8T1bk141424@orthanc.ab.ca> To: jason andrade Cc: hubs@FreeBSD.ORG Subject: Re: 4.1.1 iso image on rsync anyone ? If you're alluding to rsync compression, I doubt it will buy you much. Most of the bits in the ISO image are already compressed. I'd just FTP it. --lyndon To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-hubs" in the body of the message From owner-freebsd-hubs Thu Sep 28 18:44:26 2000 Delivered-To: freebsd-hubs@freebsd.org Received: from piglet.dstc.edu.au (piglet.dstc.edu.au [130.102.176.1]) by hub.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id 536B137B42C for ; Thu, 28 Sep 2000 18:44:22 -0700 (PDT) Received: from azure.dstc.edu.au (azure.dstc.edu.au [130.102.176.27]) by piglet.dstc.edu.au (8.10.1/8.10.1) with ESMTP id e8T1i5M29770; Fri, 29 Sep 2000 11:44:05 +1000 (EST) Date: Fri, 29 Sep 2000 11:44:12 +1000 (EST) From: jason andrade To: Lyndon Nerenberg Cc: hubs@FreeBSD.ORG Subject: Re: 4.1.1 iso image on rsync anyone ?
