But I *do* believe that it is very well within the MS scheme of things to attempt to proprietize the very fabric of the net itself with a cleverly disguised attempt to make the net safer and more secure, or perhaps the same way they have done it up until now: brute force. jm -- My other computer is your windows box. In case you're wondering, whenever anybody picks my phone up (I leave my phone on the table in pubs/restaurants and friends often pick it up to have a look cos 6210s are still kind of pseudo-rare in the UK) I get one of two reactions - if they don't know what FBSD is, they just raise an eyebrow and give a look to say "you're weird". Alternatively, if anyone knows of a site where you can send operator logos via SMS, charged to your own credit card (or paypal account), please let me know. I'll be glad to send it to myself, if I can just find the right site. I wonder when we'll be seeing that in FreeBSDland? Even for Linux, its cutting edge. After running a Numeric Python application in Windows, I get the feeling that my Athlon DDR machine is not working up to its highest performance. Now with mp3 encoding with Gogo, using 3dNow extensions, that Athlon creams my laptop, encoding at 10 times its rate. But the laptop using Windows2000 and ddr mobo go neck and neck at big numer crunching apps written in Numpy. Rob.
