Subject:   Any way to have multiple machines share a single passwd file?

I have finally gotten amd to mount my user directories correctly, which i
realized that it's still a pain in the butt to have to maintain a separate
/etc/passwd file for each machine. is there anyway to have all the
machines use the /etc/passwd file on the machine that houses the user
directories?
