If I only have one established connection, everything works fine. When I try to establish another one, the first connection dies. If I then reestablish the first connection - the two connections both works fine. Then if I establish a third connection - the first two connection dies and I can begin establishing them again. Hope this helps.. Best regards Rasmus Skaarup On Tue, 29 Oct 2002, Rasmus Skaarup wrote: > > Hello, > > I have a Dell TrueMobile 1150 wireless NIC talking with a Intel PRO > Wireless Gateway. But, no success so far. The Network cards are identical, it's the LNA-100B from Billionton. Just to be on the safe side, I put both cards in another laptop, running Win2K, and the cards work in there. So I probably only need to get the config right under FreeBSD to make them work. The problem is that pccardd isn't able to configure the second card. In /etc/rc.conf I have these lines for pccardd: pccard_enable="YES" pccard_mem="DEFAULT" pccardd_flags=" -i 3 -i 15" (and the necessary _ifconfig lines) The default pccard.conf file didn't make the second card configured, so I have made my own /etc/pccard.conf: # Billionton LNA-100B card "Billionton" "LNA-100B" config auto "ed1" ? config auto "ed2" ? insert /etc/pccard_ether $device start remove /etc/pccard_ether $device stop I tried various permutations of 'config 0x1 "ed1" ?' and 'config auto "ed2" ?' but it seems like this card only has one config index, which is 0x7. The output from 'pccardc dumpcis' (only one card inserted) is attached to this mail. If I use config 0x7 "ed1" ? and config auto "ed2" ? I get the message: pccardd[181]: driver allocation failed for Billionton(LNA-100B): Device not configured when I instert the second card. Any hints on how I can get this working? Playing a sound made it hang shortly after starting it. Strangely, it got fixed when I patched the kernel to add ACPI support. The problem had something to do with non-compliant ACPI tables in the bios. http://www.freebsd.org/cgi/query-pr.cgi?pr=kern/34942 Has anyone been able to fix this or had the same problem? IME, if they show up as ed1, it means the hints in the kernel config file are wrong. In other words, try "device ed" in the kernel config rather than a line that specifies all the settings for a single card. -Warren Block * Rapid City, South Dakota USA To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-mobile" in the body of the message From owner-freebsd-mobile Sun Nov 10 23:17:56 2002 Delivered-To: freebsd-mobile@freebsd.org Received: from mx1.FreeBSD.org (mx1.freebsd.org [216.136.204.125]) by hub.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id 9761837B401 for ; Sun, 10 Nov 2002 23:17:54 -0800 (PST) Received: from unixlab.dk (mail98.scannet.dk [194.255.126.98]) by mx1.FreeBSD.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id 4651343E3B for ; Sun, 10 Nov 2002 23:17:53 -0800 (PST) (envelope-from fbsd@unixlab.dk) Received: from HenrikJ [194.255.42.29] by unixlab.dk with ESMTP (SMTPD32-7.07) id A99C253C00F8; Mon, 11 Nov 2002 08:17:48 +0100 Message-ID: <017f01c28952$6e4ae1c0$6d00000a@HenrikJ> From: "Henrik Johansen" To: References: <20021110214819.4d6e7685.john@veidit.net> Subject: Re: Sound on Compaq evo n115 Date: Mon, 11 Nov 2002 08:17:44 +0100 MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: text/plain; charset="iso-8859-1" Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit X-Priority: 3 X-MSMail-Priority: Normal X-Mailer: Microsoft Outlook Express 6.00.2800.1106 X-MimeOLE: Produced By Microsoft MimeOLE V6.00.2800.1106 Sender: owner-freebsd-mobile@FreeBSD.ORG Precedence: bulk List-ID: List-Archive: (Web Archive) List-Help: (List Instructions) List-Subscribe: List-Unsubscribe: X-Loop: FreeBSD.org Hey. I've read the thread about this NIC on this list, but it seems that there was no real result. I understand, that this is a 3.3V PC-Card (not Cardbus). I own a Fujitsu Lifebook E-Series, which seems to allow the card to be inserted. Further I have added an entry for the 'B' version to my /etc/pccard.conf as suggested in one of the emails. It still doesn't work. As soon, as the card is inserted, the System hangs completely (i.e. cannot change console, etc). But when the card is removed everything works fine again, and even the keys pressed during the hang are executed. (i.e. the chars appear on the screen). Any hints about support or no support for this card, or even debugging of this behaviour is appreciated.
