I tried an 'instaMFC' and got the same result - a diff shows pretty minor differences so I suspect stable and current are already in sync :) My starting point was 4.5-RELEASE and I then put the -STABLE code in - all with the same results. I get this -> pcm0: port 0xe400-0xe4ff irq 5 at device 17.5 on pci0 Then when I attempt to play any audio I get pcm0:play:0: play interrupt timeout, channel dead after about 2 seconds. I have another system which uses the same driver (via82c686) which used to work but I haven't tested it with the latest PCM code. Any patches/suggestions/etc ? :) Please CC me on reply, thanks. -- Daniel O'Connor software and network engineer for Genesis Software - http://www.gsoft.com.au "The nice thing about standards is that there are so many of them to choose from." -- Andrew Tanenbaum GPG Fingerprint - 9A8C 569F 685A D928 5140 AE4B 319B 41F4 5D17 FDD5 To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-multimedia" in the body of the message From owner-freebsd-multimedia Tue Jul 9 1:48:31 2002 Delivered-To: freebsd-multimedia@freebsd.org Received: from mx1.FreeBSD.org (mx1.FreeBSD.org [216.136.204.125]) by hub.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id 5121A37B400; Tue, 9 Jul 2002 01:48:28 -0700 (PDT) Received: from cain.gsoft.com.au (genesi.lnk.telstra.net [139.130.136.161]) by mx1.FreeBSD.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id 9730343E3B; Tue, 9 Jul 2002 01:48:26 -0700 (PDT) (envelope-from doconnor@gsoft.com.au) Received: from localhost (localhost [127.0.0.1]) by cain.gsoft.com.au (8.12.4/8.12.3) with ESMTP id g698mNZL007461; Tue, 9 Jul 2002 18:18:23 +0930 (CST) (envelope-from doconnor@gsoft.com.au) Subject: Re: Sound driver and via82c686 From: "Daniel O'Connor" To: "Mr Daniel James O'Connor" Cc: freebsd-multimedia@FreeBSD.ORG, freebsd-stable@FreeBSD.ORG In-Reply-To: <1026203731.4254.40.camel@chowder.gsoft.com.au> References: <1026203731.4254.40.camel@chowder.gsoft.com.au> Content-Type: text/plain Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit X-Mailer: Ximian Evolution 1.0.7 Date: 09 Jul 2002 18:18:22 +0930 Message-Id: <1026204502.4254.44.camel@chowder.gsoft.com.au> Mime-Version: 1.0 X-Scanned-By: MIMEDefang 2.6 (www dot roaringpenguin dot com slash mimedefang) Sender: owner-freebsd-multimedia@FreeBSD.ORG Precedence: bulk List-ID: List-Archive: (Web Archive) List-Help: (List Instructions) List-Subscribe: List-Unsubscribe: X-Loop: FreeBSD.org On Tue, 2002-07-09 at 18:05, Daniel O'Connor wrote: > Then when I attempt to play any audio I get > pcm0:play:0: play interrupt timeout, channel dead > after about 2 seconds.
