All of the known issues that the security-officer team was working on have been incorporated into the release, so there should be no further hold ups. The official four disc set and a small mini-installation ISO should be at the FTP sites world wide by this time tommorow. - Murray To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-vendors" in the body of the message From owner-freebsd-vendors Wed Jan 30 15:10:33 2002 Delivered-To: freebsd-vendors@freebsd.org Received: from rwcrmhc53.attbi.com (rwcrmhc53.attbi.com [204.127.198.39]) by hub.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id 531EF37B400; Wed, 30 Jan 2002 15:10:31 -0800 (PST) Received: from bmah.dyndns.org ([12.233.149.189]) by rwcrmhc53.attbi.com (InterMail vM.4.01.03.27 201-229-121-127-20010626) with ESMTP id <20020130231030.FZEU10199.rwcrmhc53.attbi.com@bmah.dyndns.org>; Wed, 30 Jan 2002 23:10:30 +0000 Received: (from bmah@localhost) by bmah.dyndns.org (8.11.6/8.11.6) id g0UNAUM19049; Wed, 30 Jan 2002 15:10:30 -0800 (PST) (envelope-from bmah) Message-Id: <200201302310.g0UNAUM19049@bmah.dyndns.org> X-Mailer: exmh version 2.5 07/13/2001 with nmh-1.0.4 To: freebsd-vendors@freebsd.org Cc: bmah@freebsd.org Subject: PDF release documentation From: bmah@freebsd.org (Bruce A. I maintain PDF renderings (in addition to HTML and TXT) of the release documentation on the RELNOTESng snapshot site: http://people.freebsd.org/~bmah/relnotes/ These are useful for old-fashioned folks like myself who like to see things printed on paper. :-) The contents of the 4.5-RELEASE directory basically reflect what's on the CDs, except that the errata file will be updated as necessary. The Japanese snapshots use these renderings in lieu of building them at release time; anyone else producing distributions can feel free to do the same. Drop me a note if there are any questions... Also of possible use to vendors is the 'contents' listing of the official 4-CD set : http://www.freebsd.org/releases/4.5R/contents.html This isn't mean to be marketing-oriented product literature, but it has the simple details about what each disc contains, and I expect vendors would want to add to this and put it on their product description web page in some form or another.
