Oracle9i needs some IPC_64 calls in the Linux emulation layer which were committed to -current last October. AFAIK these patches were never MFCed to -stable, so Oracle9i still will not run with the upcoming 4.8-R. I run Oracle9i on 5.0-R with one little patch to signal handling, which I posted a while ago. -- Regards, Georg. If someone could send me that patch (haven't found it in the archives), I'll make sure that it gets committed so that Oracle can run out of the box, on 5.1. -sc -- Sean Chittenden From owner-freebsd-database@FreeBSD.ORG Wed Apr 2 12:54:11 2003 Return-Path: Delivered-To: freebsd-database@freebsd.org Received: from mx1.FreeBSD.org (mx1.freebsd.org [216.136.204.125]) by hub.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id 1D6E537B404 for ; Wed, 2 Apr 2003 12:54:11 -0800 (PST) Received: from smtp.web.de (smtp03.web.de [217.72.192.158]) by mx1.FreeBSD.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id 32F6043F75 for ; Wed, 2 Apr 2003 12:54:10 -0800 (PST) (envelope-from g.w.k@web.de) Received: from [217.232.179.61] (helo=pD9E8B33D.dip.t-dialin.net) by smtp.web.de with asmtp (WEB.DE(Exim) 4.97 #53) id 190pFB-0006l4-00; Wed, 02 Apr 2003 22:54:01 +0200 From: "Georg-W.
