After upgrading to Mozilla 1.2.1 (from 1.1) my fonts in Mozilla got a little weird. I was able to reset them so that variable width fonts look good, but fixed-width fonts (Courier, for example) are much smaller than they used to be. Changing size settings and display resolution don't seem to help. This makes reading emails in Mozilla mail quite difficult, among other things. Any recommendations? Some setting I'm missing? I'm seeing this too. It's making it very hard to read serif text. I don't have any useful suggestions, though. Perhaps some fonts weren't packaged with this release? I would decently recommend to make it without XFT - it runs much faster and can do antialiasing for some pixel fonts. I did need to set my fonts back to reasonably visible items, but that's minor. # cd /usr/ports/www/mozilla # make WITHOUT_XFT=1 install distclean To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-mozilla" in the body of the message From owner-freebsd-mozilla Thu Jan 23 15: 8:41 2003 Delivered-To: freebsd-mozilla@freebsd.org Received: from mx1.FreeBSD.org (mx1.freebsd.org [216.136.204.125]) by hub.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id DEAEA37B401 for ; Thu, 23 Jan 2003 15:08:40 -0800 (PST) Received: from moe.rice.edu (moe.rice.edu [128.42.5.4]) by mx1.FreeBSD.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id 4C01043F1E for ; Thu, 23 Jan 2003 15:08:40 -0800 (PST) (envelope-from noackjr@rice.edu) Received: from rice.edu (webmail3.mail.rice.edu [128.42.58.153]) by moe.rice.edu (8.9.0/8.9.0) with SMTP id RAA17403 for ; Thu, 23 Jan 2003 17:08:39 -0600 (CST) Message-Id: <200301232308.RAA17403@moe.rice.edu> Date: Thu, 23 Jan 2003 23:27:14 -0000 To: Subject: Re: mozilla 1.2.1 and fonts From: X-Mailer: TWIG 2.7.4 Sender: owner-freebsd-mozilla@FreeBSD.ORG Precedence: bulk List-ID: List-Archive: (Web Archive) List-Help: (List Instructions) List-Subscribe: List-Unsubscribe: X-Loop: FreeBSD.ORG > # cd /usr/ports/www/mozilla > # make WITHOUT_XFT=1 install distclean Thanks all!
