IN : /usr/local/lib/linux-mozilla/plugins/ I have: libjavaplugin_oji.so -> /usr/local/linux-sun-jdk1.3.1/jre/plugin/i386/ns600/libjavaplugin_oji.so Yet java dosent show in the list of plugins, nor do java enabled sites work? He has re-installed 3 times with the same effect. But, I still get mozilla locking up when I try to type in a URL. And yes, I am making things per my make.conf which has: CPUTYPE=p3 CFLAGS= -O -pipe I also have : options USER_LDT options CPU_ENABLE_SSE in the kernel. I think I will try taking those out, as well as the make.conf options, rebuild my kernel and world and see if that helps? Two things. First, if you're not using IPv6, and you have INET6 compiled into your kernel, remove it, and rebuild your kernel. Second, go to Preferences->Adavnced->Keyboard Navigation, and disable Find Automatically when typing into a webpage. Does it unlock itself if you wait 5 minutes? If so, then you're being hit by the 'find as you type' bug^Wfeature. Work around is to go into Preferences : Advanced : Keyboard Navigation and uncheck the 'Find As You Type' option.
