Use a serial console to capture the output. String up another machine via a null-modem cable to COM1, start up a comm program, set it to 9600 baud. Then boot the CD, drop to the prompt at the loader menu, enter the command 'set console=comconsole'. You should get an OK prompt on the serial console.
