I have an EV56 Alpha machine and I'm having trouble setting the keymap (I live in switzerland). I already had this problem with 5.1-C so I decided to install 5.2-RC2 but it's still not working. Here is my rc.conf: zudip$ cat /etc/rc.conf [..] keymap="swissfrench.iso.acc" [..] The swissfrench.iso.acc file is in: /usr/share/syscons/keymaps/swissfrench.iso.acc.kbd So it should work right ? Any idea ? Maybe I should set something before FreeBSD starts ? Setting XkbModel to pc105 and XkbLayout to fr_CH in XF86Config makes the keyboard work properly under X. It installed OK and made it thru a buildworld (with an NFS mounted /usr/{src,obj}) without problem. I haven't given it much of a stress test though.
