Here's a dumb and non-critical question:

| Delete gnats/gnats-adm/indOfreof
| Rsync gnats/gnats-adm/index

Is it possible for the temporary index to be created with some
filename that can be added to the master site's `omitany' pattern
so as to avoid having mirror sites pass unneeded files to their
subservients, particularly over low-bandwidth paths?

thanks
