Because I don't find any about this, here it is my problem: FreeBSD toomany.toomany.net 5.3-BETA2 FreeBSD 5.3-BETA2 #1: Sun Sep 5 11:28:34 CEST 2004 root@toomany.toomany.net:/usr/obj/usr/src/sys/TOOMANY i386 mozilla-1.7.2,2 xorg-6.7.0_1 X.Org distribution metaport xorg-clients-6.7.0_4 X client programs and related files from X.Org xorg-documents-6.7.0 Documentation of X11 protocol and libraries from X.Org xorg-fonts-100dpi-6.7.0 X.Org 100dpi bitmap fonts xorg-fonts-75dpi-6.7.0 X.Org 75dpi bitmap fonts xorg-fonts-cyrillic-6.7.0 X.Org Cyrillic bitmap fonts xorg-fonts-encodings-6.7.0 X.Org font encoding files xorg-fonts-miscbitmaps-6.7.0 X.Org miscellaneous bitmap fonts xorg-fonts-truetype-6.7.0 X.Org TrueType fonts xorg-fonts-type1-6.7.0 X.Org Type1 fonts xorg-fontserver-6.7.0 X font server from X.Org xorg-libraries-6.7.0_1 X11 libraries and headers from X.Org xorg-nestserver-6.7.0 Nesting X server from X.Org xorg-printserver-6.7.0 X Print server from X.Org xorg-server-6.7.0_6 X.Org X server and related programs xorg-vfbserver-6.7.0 X virtual framebuffer server from X.Org NVIDIA-FreeBSD-x86-1.0-6113 drivers installed. Attach to this e-mail, my "dmesg output". When I attempt to run "mozilla", from a xterm for example, I can see that: (19:38:36 <~>) 0 $ mozilla Error: No running window found. Segmentation fault How can I help? When I executed (I'm a very newbie) "gdb /path/mozilla-bin /path/mozilla.core", the messages say any like "no debbuging symbols found"... The "firefox" program run very well. Thank you!! -- Have a nice day ;-) TooManySecrets From owner-freebsd-mozilla@FreeBSD.ORG Tue Sep 7 22:32:09 2004 Return-Path: Delivered-To: freebsd-mozilla@freebsd.org Received: from mx1.FreeBSD.org (mx1.freebsd.org [216.136.204.125]) by hub.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id 2982D16A4CE for ; Tue, 7 Sep 2004 22:32:09 +0000 (GMT) Received: from web52906.mail.yahoo.com (web52906.mail.yahoo.com [206.190.39.183]) by mx1.FreeBSD.org (Postfix) with SMTP id B2AC743D46 for ; Tue, 7 Sep 2004 22:32:08 +0000 (GMT) (envelope-from eduhuertas@yahoo.com) Message-ID: <20040907223208.89916.qmail@web52906.mail.yahoo.com> Received: from [216.230.149.4] by web52906.mail.yahoo.com via HTTP; Tue, 07 Sep 2004 17:32:08 CDT Date: Tue, 7 Sep 2004 17:32:08 -0500 (CDT) From: =?iso-8859-1?q?Eduardo=20Huertas?= To: TooManySecrets , freebsd-mozilla@freebsd.org In-Reply-To: <441367e4040906230157947b5d@mail.gmail.com> MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: text/plain; charset=iso-8859-1 Content-Transfer-Encoding: 8bit Subject: Re: Mozilla crash under 5.3-BETA 1 X-BeenThere: freebsd-mozilla@freebsd.org X-Mailman-Version: 2.1.1 Precedence: list List-Id: Mozilla browser issues List-Unsubscribe: , List-Archive: List-Post: List-Help: List-Subscribe: , X-List-Received-Date: Tue, 07 Sep 2004 22:32:09 -0000 --- TooManySecrets escribió: > Hi. > > Because I don't find any about this, here it is my > problem: > > FreeBSD toomany.toomany.net 5.3-BETA2 FreeBSD > 5.3-BETA2 #1: Sun Sep 5 > 11:28:34 CEST 2004 > root@toomany.toomany.net:/usr/obj/usr/src/sys/TOOMANY > i386 > > mozilla-1.7.2,2 > xorg-6.7.0_1 X.Org distribution metaport > xorg-clients-6.7.0_4 X client programs and related > files from X.Org > xorg-documents-6.7.0 Documentation of X11 protocol > and libraries from > X.Org > xorg-fonts-100dpi-6.7.0 X.Org 100dpi bitmap fonts > xorg-fonts-75dpi-6.7.0 X.Org 75dpi bitmap fonts > xorg-fonts-cyrillic-6.7.0 X.Org Cyrillic bitmap > fonts > xorg-fonts-encodings-6.7.0 X.Org font encoding files > xorg-fonts-miscbitmaps-6.7.0 X.Org miscellaneous > bitmap fonts > xorg-fonts-truetype-6.7.0 X.Org TrueType fonts > xorg-fonts-type1-6.7.0 X.Org Type1 fonts > xorg-fontserver-6.7.0 X font server from X.Org > xorg-libraries-6.7.0_1 X11 libraries and headers > from X.Org > xorg-nestserver-6.7.0 Nesting X server from X.Org > xorg-printserver-6.7.0 X Print server from X.Org > xorg-server-6.7.0_6 X.Org X server and related > programs > xorg-vfbserver-6.7.0 X virtual framebuffer server > from X.Org > > NVIDIA-FreeBSD-x86-1.0-6113 drivers installed. > > Attach to this e-mail, my "dmesg output". > > When I attempt to run "mozilla", from a xterm for > example, I can see > that: > > (19:38:36 <~>) 0 $ mozilla > Error: No running window found. > Segmentation fault > > How can I help? I had this segmentetion fault problem with mozilla. This problem seemed to ariase because of the new pthread libraries. All the ports needed to be recompiled, I did it and everything went fine. Maybe the same is happening to you if you come from 4.x. If you don't ... I don't know :-) Good luck! _________________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!?
