The problem with arabic fonts (letters are put more or less on a heap) is also in this version. Going back to version openoffice-1.1.0_1 fixed the problem (there is another one with diacritical marks so). Did already anybody investigate whether this is somehow related to libfreetype2? Then, i tried change the AsianTextFont in Character-setting.. still the problem persist. I tried with Njstar Communicator 2.30, it displays some ascii characters too... If i open documents (which was created by using MSWord 2000 & Cstar2001) using OpenOffice Writer, the chinese characters can be display and preview correctly !!! but, if tried to input chinese-char into it, same problem again...it just display some ascii characters... The problem was that __builtin_huge_val() was not available until gcc 3.3, but I thought it had been introduced in 2.95. The latest revision of math.h should address this.
