However, every time OpenOffice is build (for example during a portupgrade), the build fails. Specifically, the build fails for the freetype project, with the following three errors: 1) ./unxfbsd.pro/misc/build/freetype-2.1.4/config.mk at line 21: /unix-def.mk not found ./unxfbsd.pro/misc/build/freetype-2.1.4/config.mk at line 21: /unix-cc.mk not found This error happens because the $(OBJ_DIR) environment variable is not set--it should be set to ./unxfbsd.pro/misc/build/freetype-2.1.4 2) gmake: /usr/ports/editors/openoffice-1.1/work/oo_1.1.2_src/freetype/unxfbsd.pro/misc/build/freetype-2.1.4/builds/unix/libtool: Command not found This error happens because libtool is actually located in /usr/ports/editors/openoffice-1.1/work/oo_1.1.2_src/freetype/unxfbsd.pro/misc/build/freetype-2.1.4 3) /usr/ports/editors/openoffice-1.1/work/oo_1.1.2_src/freetype/unxfbsd.pro/misc/build/freetype-2.1.4/builds/unix/ftsystem.c:21:22: ftconfig.h: No such file or directory This error happens because ftconfig.h is actually located in /usr/ports/editors/openoffice-1.1/work/oo_1.1.2_src/freetype/unxfbsd.pro/misc/build/freetype-2.1.4 I have lived with these errors for several months, and I am able to fix them by going into the work directories for the build and manually editing/copying files, but this is tremendously inconvenient. Any help would be appreciated. The hungarian/ooodict port is broken and it has OpenOffice 1.0 as its dependency. However, the hungarian/hunspell port works perfectly with openoffice 1.1.2. I just had to copy hu_HU.aff and hu_HU.dic into /usr/local/OpenOffice.org1.1.2/share/dict/ooo/ to get Hungarian spellcheck working. The hungarian/hunspell port puts them into /usr/local/share/myspell. It would be nice if you could fix the hungarian/ooodict port. Now it is very confusing (it makes it look like as if that Hungarian spellcheck is only available for OOo 1.0.x). A comment in hungarian/ooodict with instructions/explanations could also work. Thanks in advance. Csaba Molnar, Hungary ps. I can write a comment in Hungarian if that would help as well (if you can't change hungarian/ooodict to install hungarian/hunspell into OOo's directory for some reason). No options were passed (i.e., just "make" in the ports directory). The major system change has been switching from XFree86 to Xorg and KDE 3.3 from KDE 3.2 at about the time that 5.3-BETA forked from CURRENT. I had one other port where configure failed to find sys/types.h but which now compiles after a few days of updates; I'm wondering if configure has changed in a way that affects the OO port. I found one other message indicating I'm not alone with this problem, but I didn't find a solution in Google; UPDATING doesn't mention OO at all. Compiling OO is not vital to me; I'm posting this in case it's not just user error but a real problem that affects 5.3-RELEASE. (I usually run long compilations in an xterm/konsole shell; trying to run "make buildworld" failed in a konsole shell but is working after excaping from KDE and running "make buildworld" in a console login shell).
