They have 2 of these Xservers, one being in production still... I eventually gave up on this and handed the server over to a Mac-fanatic in the dev team. I wasn't able to get to the BIOS to tell it to boot off CD-R (was trying NetBSD at the time). I would consider it, but currently the Xserve is my main machine. I've got a gentoo install rigged to work on it. Kernel 2.6 PCI code seems to have some issues working with this hardware.
