Hello freebsd-smp, Multiprocessor motherboard: 2 Intel Pentium III (666.35-MHz) when compiled with: options SMP options APIC_IO everething seems to work okay, but problem rises on backups: when doing SCSI disk backup to IDE disk system completely hangs at any of files copied. It may be any file and hang can arise at any moment. for copying were used cpdup, dump/restore, cp -Rpf at last! Actually no error messages appeared at all, but one it was something like: got block 270493 but expecting 270492... With GENERIC kernel it seems to work okay So i suspect some inconsistencies happened with concurrent access to disks, got any ideas ? -- Best regards, Dmitry mailto:dfr@wm.ru
