Over the past few day I've started work in the background on this (specifically the Tomatillo), using the OpenBSD and Linux drivers as documentation, but thought I'd ask in case anyone else is working on it, so as not to duplicate effort... If I remember correctly, the biggest challenge was with getting the interrupt routing correct; devices were being probed and data could be transfered, but interrupts weren't getting through. You'd make quite a lot of people happy if you picked this up and made it work. Without USIII support, the future of the sparc64 port is definitely uncertain. Getting the current generation of Netra and Blade workstations to work would definitely be a good thing. Hi Yes , AX1115 is almost same as AX1105 but it with a onboard SCSI controller. I boot from IDE CDROM , the 5.3R know this SCSI controller and dectect my SCSI HD then I finished the installation(sure, on the SCSI HD). But when I want to start my first boot from SCSI HD , it show me the "Fast Data Access MMU Miss error". Is there any thing that I miss to do ? thanks cuma _______________________________________________________________________ Yahoo!©_¼¯¹q¤l«H½c 250MB ¶W¤j§K¶O«H½c¡A«H¥ó¦A¦h¤]¤£©È¡I http://mail.yahoo.com.tw/ From owner-freebsd-sparc64@FreeBSD.ORG Mon Dec 27 11:02:19 2004 Return-Path: Delivered-To: freebsd-sparc64@freebsd.org Received: from mx1.FreeBSD.org (mx1.freebsd.org [216.136.204.125]) by hub.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id 1313B16A4D4 for ; Mon, 27 Dec 2004 11:02:19 +0000 (GMT) Received: from freefall.freebsd.org (freefall.freebsd.org [216.136.204.21]) by mx1.FreeBSD.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id F283443D39 for ; Mon, 27 Dec 2004 11:02:18 +0000 (GMT) (envelope-from owner-bugmaster@freebsd.org) Received: from freefall.freebsd.org (peter@localhost [127.0.0.1]) by freefall.freebsd.org (8.13.1/8.13.1) with ESMTP id iBRB2IP5030286 for ; Mon, 27 Dec 2004 11:02:18 GMT (envelope-from owner-bugmaster@freebsd.org) Received: (from peter@localhost) by freefall.freebsd.org (8.13.1/8.13.1/Submit) id iBRB2ItD030280 for freebsd-sparc64@freebsd.org; Mon, 27 Dec 2004 11:02:18 GMT (envelope-from owner-bugmaster@freebsd.org) Date: Mon, 27 Dec 2004 11:02:18 GMT Message-Id: <200412271102.iBRB2ItD030280@freefall.freebsd.org> X-Authentication-Warning: freefall.freebsd.org: peter set sender to owner-bugmaster@freebsd.org using -f From: FreeBSD bugmaster To: freebsd-sparc64@FreeBSD.org Subject: Current problem reports assigned to you X-BeenThere: freebsd-sparc64@freebsd.org X-Mailman-Version: 2.1.1 Precedence: list List-Id: Porting FreeBSD to the Sparc List-Unsubscribe: , List-Archive: List-Post: List-Help: List-Subscribe: , X-List-Received-Date: Mon, 27 Dec 2004 11:02:19 -0000 Current FreeBSD problem reports Critical problems Serious problems S Submitted Tracker Resp. Hmm, I'd be interested in seeing any previous work that has been done. The linux code is now actually pretty well commented (for Linux, anyway), so hopefully we can make a bit of an attempt at getting something working. I am running into a rather basic and frustrating problem getting off the ground with 5.3 on an Ultra 2. Can't seem to boot off the CD... I've seen references to various problems in the archives but not this specific one. yes, I've made another CD... with the same result... I assume it's the boot-only CD... the docs don't seem to address whcih cd does what. Does anyone know if there is a fix for this? thanks. -jacques. {0} ok boot cdrom Resetting ... screen not found.
