In other cases, it doesn't matter much. The T42 also runs FreeBSD very well. All of the hardware on mine is supported, except, I think, the modem. I've never had reason to want to use it, so it's not a problem for me. Barton FSB : 333 Pentium-M FSB: 400 Your notebook may have faster RAM and HDD with bigger cache (8Mb?)
