AFAIK, the plan is to make more settled the driver and than to remove some bugs concerning the ieee80211 interaction with it. Than, I think certainly somebody will commit it to HEAD. You can find a version of the driver here: http://www.datacode.it/wpi-freebsd/wpi-freebsd.tgz (Note: this is completely different from iwi).
