It is a red-letter day for new FreeBSD unionfs. The unionfs-17.diff (without patch for sys/kern/vfs_lookup.c) was committed to FreeBSD 7-current of 2006-12-02 19:35:56 UTC by rodrigc, my src mentor. > Current English document of web has some Japanese contents. We > need a translator ;-) Hiroharu TAMARU-san gave us good English text. Thanks. And we added some text around committed of current. http://people.freebsd.org/~daichi/unionfs/ (English) http://people.freebsd.org/~daichi/unionfs/index-ja.html (Japanese) Hopefully we can get more feedback from testers :) -- Daichi GOTO, http://people.freebsd.org/~daichi From owner-freebsd-fs@FreeBSD.ORG Mon Dec 4 14:19:13 2006 Return-Path: X-Original-To: freebsd-fs@freebsd.org Delivered-To: freebsd-fs@freebsd.org Received: from mx1.FreeBSD.org (mx1.freebsd.org [69.147.83.52]) by hub.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id 95B1416A40F for ; Mon, 4 Dec 2006 14:19:13 +0000 (UTC) (envelope-from freebsd@voidmain.net) Received: from tiltup.nepinc.com (tiltup.nepinc.com [66.207.136.20]) by mx1.FreeBSD.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id D504743C9D for ; Mon, 4 Dec 2006 14:18:39 +0000 (GMT) (envelope-from freebsd@voidmain.net) Received: from [192.168.97.132] (dhcp132.eng.nepinc.com [192.168.97.132]) (authenticated bits=0) by tiltup.nepinc.com (8.13.4/8.13.4) with ESMTP id kB4EJCd7027304; Mon, 4 Dec 2006 09:19:12 -0500 (EST) (envelope-from freebsd@voidmain.net) Message-ID: <45742E51.5040001@voidmain.net> Date: Mon, 04 Dec 2006 09:18:57 -0500 From: Tom Grove User-Agent: Thunderbird 1.5.0.8 (X11/20061129) MIME-Version: 1.0 To: Eric Anderson References: <279761.58126.qm@web58811.mail.re1.yahoo.com> <4566656B.60907@centtech.com> In-Reply-To: <4566656B.60907@centtech.com> Content-Type: text/plain; charset=ISO-8859-1; format=flowed Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit Cc: freebsd-fs@freebsd.org Subject: Re: Snap Server filesystem? Linux based systems seem to have issues trying to read UFS filesystems so, you may want to try a FreesBIE disk. You may have better luck mounting the drive. -Tom
