FreeBSD bastian.ksniffer.org 6.1-STABLE FreeBSD 6.1-STABLE #0: Sat Jul 8 22:24:31 CEST 2006 zambia@bastian.ksniffer.org:/usr/obj/usr/src/sys/GENERIC i386
>Description:
Till FreeBSD 5.5 I had no problem to install FreeBSD from my DVD writer. I tryed to install FreeBSD 6.0, 6.1 and snapshot-stable-6.1-june2006 but always worse. With FreeBSD 6.0 I installed FreeBSD 6.0 from a CD-R writer SCSI. But with 6.1 and 6.1 latest stable nothing. I get I/O error. I tryed also to install FreeBSD 5.5 and later to upgrade with the CVSup the source and install the kernel 6.1, but after I did this the access to the DVD writer and to the CD-R writer SCSI gets I/O error. The same problem also with 7.0 current.

My machine is and Athlon-XP, 1 master EIDE HDD, 1 serial ATA, 1 master EIDE DVD writer, 1 CD-R SCSI:
