They also have a 'Professional' version at . Other than the above a load of commercial control panels out there support FreeBSD - most install custom versions of mail daemons / Apache / etc and are intended to be installed from a clean FreeBSD install. In the past we've used Directadmin, and Plesk for our dedicated hosting customers. Regards, Lee. The mailserver must have access to the DNS, or it will need to forward all email to a mail relay which does have working DNS. It is likely that if you add the IP address of a working nameserver to /etc/ resolv.conf on your mailserver, it will become happy again until you can fix your own DNS. Otherwise, you can change the "relayhost" setting /usr/local/etc/ postfix/main.cf: # In the case of SMTP, specify a domain, host, host:port, [host]:port, # [address] or [address]:port; the form [host] turns off MX lookups. # # If you're connected via UUCP, see also the default_transport parameter. # #relayhost = $mydomain #relayhost = [gateway.my.domain] #relayhost = [mailserver.isp.tld] Uncomment the last and replace the stuff within the square brackets with the IP address of your ISP's mailserver... -- -Chuck From owner-freebsd-isp@FreeBSD.ORG Fri Sep 22 15:23:30 2006 Return-Path: X-Original-To: isp@freebsd.org Delivered-To: freebsd-isp@FreeBSD.ORG Received: from mx1.FreeBSD.org (mx1.freebsd.org [216.136.204.125]) by hub.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id E5DC516A417 for ; Fri, 22 Sep 2006 15:23:30 +0000 (UTC) (envelope-from _paix@rambler.ru) Received: from uts.vokar.com (uts.vokar.com [193.151.91.98]) by mx1.FreeBSD.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id 2393E43D49 for ; Fri, 22 Sep 2006 15:23:24 +0000 (GMT) (envelope-from _paix@rambler.ru) Received: from vega.uts.com.ua (ns.uts.com.ua [217.12.196.130]) by uts.vokar.com (Postfix) with ESMTP id 59C8C22820; Fri, 22 Sep 2006 18:23:12 +0300 (EEST) Received: from vega.uts.com.ua (localhost [127.0.0.1]) by vega.uts.com.ua (Postfix) with ESMTP id EF2292284C; Fri, 22 Sep 2006 18:23:20 +0300 (EEST) Received: from [192.168.200.253] (unknown [192.168.200.253]) by vega.uts.com.ua (Postfix) with ESMTP id ECD4322844; Fri, 22 Sep 2006 18:23:19 +0300 (EEST) Message-ID: <45140006.6090402@rambler.ru> Date: Fri, 22 Sep 2006 18:23:50 +0300 From: Sergej Kandyla <_paix@rambler.ru> User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7.13) Gecko/20060414 X-Accept-Language: en-us, en MIME-Version: 1.0 To: =?ISO-8859-1?Q?Marco_Gon=E7alves?= References: <20060919115031.X66728@beck.quonix.net> <01c701c6dc0b$e1f02300$3000a8c0@marco> In-Reply-To: <01c701c6dc0b$e1f02300$3000a8c0@marco> Content-Type: text/plain; charset=ISO-8859-1; format=flowed Content-Transfer-Encoding: 8bit X-Virus-Scanned: ClamAV on vega.uts.com.ua Cc: isp@freebsd.org Subject: Re: control panel software for FreeBSD... Certainly in the case of Open Source software. So, it's one of most easy pannels in setup and configuration.
