All three were manifestations of the same error in OO.o's source: The keyword "NULL" is used to denote a null pointer, which is legal in C but not in C++. The number "0" should be used instead. I am surprised that nobody else seems to have run into this. Maybe my gcc is more picky about standards for some reason? Thanks a lot! I have the same problem but didn't have the time to investigate a patch. > I am surprised that nobody else seems to have run into this. > Maybe my gcc is more picky about standards for some reason? I bet you are building on AMD64! The problem started, I think, with the 20061013 update of the gcc-4.1.x port, which is only required when you compile for AMD64. I suppose most people use OO.o on i386, where this bug is not apparent (gcc-3.4.x is more forgiving). Angelo. I am on i386 but because I prefer gcj over Java, my build is also using the gcc 4.1 port. Unfortunately, kris said that no amd64 machine can build ooo at the moment, thus it does not affect for 6.2-RELEASE. BTW: you are using, java-gcj-compat, but also JDK installed. that's why you are not invloved another trouble. java-gcj-compat has a bug that javac doesn't have bootstrapclasspath. In maho1 cws I fixed such problems...(purely uses gij/gcj etc). thanks, -- NAKATA, Maho (maho@FreeBSD.org) From owner-freebsd-openoffice@FreeBSD.ORG Wed Oct 25 00:50:14 2006 Return-Path: X-Original-To: openoffice@freebsd.org Delivered-To: freebsd-openoffice@FreeBSD.ORG Received: from mx1.FreeBSD.org (mx1.freebsd.org [216.136.204.125]) by hub.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id 8D4EB16A412 for ; Wed, 25 Oct 2006 00:50:14 +0000 (UTC) (envelope-from maho.nakata@gmail.com) Received: from wx-out-0506.google.com (wx-out-0506.google.com [66.249.82.239]) by mx1.FreeBSD.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id 04F6343D49 for ; Wed, 25 Oct 2006 00:50:13 +0000 (GMT) (envelope-from maho.nakata@gmail.com) Received: by wx-out-0506.google.com with SMTP id i27so2236161wxd for ; Tue, 24 Oct 2006 17:50:13 -0700 (PDT) DomainKey-Signature: a=rsa-sha1; q=dns; c=nofws; s=beta; d=gmail.com; h=received:date:message-id:to:cc:subject:from:in-reply-to:references:x-mailer:mime-version:content-type:content-transfer-encoding:sender; b=JQyrkFhbUvSjoAN+EvJuDAAee4YLYPPrciV/PG5566ajgoO4VoFZQhSeb9i+EgGqSIM3aq7wpY/Jqp84fq+gQr0Eo8KuTXYhG4ESwH3/+SohhUDI9BohePdGcAXI8La/vRakrAJTNjAEtInB+MUm57LCCQmrwe8bK1DD1mTxeLE= Received: by 10.70.109.12 with SMTP id h12mr4090707wxc; Tue, 24 Oct 2006 17:50:13 -0700 (PDT) Received: from localhost ( [133.11.172.102]) by mx.google.com with ESMTP id 12sm2950584wrl.2006.10.24.17.50.11; Tue, 24 Oct 2006 17:50:12 -0700 (PDT) Date: Wed, 25 Oct 2006 09:49:54 +0900 (JST) Message-Id: <20061025.094954.59723350.chat95@mac.com> To: freebsd@chillt.de From: NAKATA Maho In-Reply-To: <20061025.083752.78774880.chat95@mac.com> References: <453DFF9A.1050702@commit.it> <453E0E13.4070106@chillt.de> <20061025.083752.78774880.chat95@mac.com> X-Mailer: Mew version 5.1 on Emacs 21.3 / Mule 5.0 (SAKAKI) Mime-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: Text/Plain; charset=us-ascii Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit Sender: Maho NAKATA Cc: aturetta@commit.it, openoffice@freebsd.org Subject: Re: [PATCH] openoffice.org-2.0 fails to compile on 6-STABLE X-BeenThere: freebsd-openoffice@freebsd.org X-Mailman-Version: 2.1.5 Precedence: list List-Id: Porting OpenOffice to FreeBSD List-Unsubscribe: , List-Archive: List-Post: List-Help: List-Subscribe: , X-List-Received-Date: Wed, 25 Oct 2006 00:50:14 -0000 From: NAKATA Maho Subject: Re: [PATCH] openoffice.org-2.0 fails to compile on 6-STABLE Date: Wed, 25 Oct 2006 08:37:52 +0900 (JST) > From: Bartosz Fabianowski > Subject: Re: [PATCH] openoffice.org-2.0 fails to compile on 6-STABLE > Date: Tue, 24 Oct 2006 13:58:59 +0100 > > > > The problem started, I think, with the 20061013 update of the gcc-4.1.x > > > port, which is only required when you compile for AMD64. > > > > I am on i386 but because I prefer gcj over Java, my build is also using > > the gcc 4.1 port.
