There are a few legacy commands (REMCONS, VSP, etc.) but the SMASH stuff is much more comprehensive. Also, keep in mind that if you remove all power from the server (by yanking the power cord) that it will cause iLO to power off -- iLO is powered by AU= X power, meaning that it is ON as long as power is applied to the power suppl= y receptacle. When iLO first powers on after the power outage, it takes it some time to regenerate SSL certificates, so it will operate a bit slower during the certificate regeneration period. Has there been any progress? Is = there a version of hpacucli that works on FreeBSD 6.1 or 6-stable? Failing that, is there a version that works on any earlier version? I'm looking at configuring arrays for machine builds under FreeBSD, and would really like to be able to automate array configuration. However, HP does provide some tools to automate th= e configuration, such as the SmartStart Scripting Toolkit (SSST) and also online tools for L*nux -> either one might be an option for you since it sounds like you just need something to work under PXE to setup the machine. -- John On 3/29/06, Jan Mikkelsen wrote: > > Hi, > > While searching for a version of hpacucli for FreeBSD, I've seen a > discussion from October last year. I've had a look at the SSST and the Linux tools. I also spent some time looking at whether the Linux versions of these utilities would work = under FreeBSD, but they seem to spend a bunch of time looking for things in = /proc that we don't have in linprocfs. I'll have another look at the tools. It may be that I'll have to script = the builds under Linux. If I can do anything to help finish the utility off, please let me know!
