With that in mind I'd like to do two things, first I'd like to point people to http://wiki.geekfire.com/view/Python_Ports which is a list of every port starting with py- (and a few others), and whether they build on Python 2.5 or not, and any issues they might have. I would first like to ask that people start working on this list again, and I also would like to know (and this is mostly directed at perky@) if we have a viable solution for the egginfo problem yet? My definite feeling is that this should only happen after the slush. The first attempt at the change was too disruptive for something we want to happen while the next release is still pending. mcl From owner-freebsd-python@FreeBSD.ORG Thu Nov 2 22:02:28 2006 Return-Path: X-Original-To: freebsd-python@freebsd.org Delivered-To: freebsd-python@freebsd.org Received: from mx1.FreeBSD.org (mx1.freebsd.org [216.136.204.125]) by hub.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id 5C41816A49E for ; Thu, 2 Nov 2006 22:02:28 +0000 (UTC) (envelope-from edwin@mavetju.org) Received: from mail4out.barnet.com.au (mail4.barnet.com.au [202.83.178.125]) by mx1.FreeBSD.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id 675E043D90 for ; Thu, 2 Nov 2006 22:02:00 +0000 (GMT) (envelope-from edwin@mavetju.org) Received: by mail4out.barnet.com.au (Postfix, from userid 1001) id DBE9C37BB5E; Fri, 3 Nov 2006 09:01:57 +1100 (EST) X-Viruscan-Id: <454A6AD500011E451BAE93@BarNet> Received: from mail4auth.barnet.com.au (mail4.barnet.com.au [202.83.178.125]) (using TLSv1 with cipher DHE-RSA-AES256-SHA (256/256 bits)) (Client did not present a certificate) by mail4.barnet.com.au (Postfix) with ESMTP id AB1A1422EA2 for ; Fri, 3 Nov 2006 09:01:57 +1100 (EST) Received: from k7.mavetju (k7.mavetju.org [10.251.1.18]) by mail4auth.barnet.com.au (Postfix) with ESMTP id 6D44337BB47 for ; Fri, 3 Nov 2006 09:01:57 +1100 (EST) Received: by k7.mavetju (Postfix, from userid 1001) id 3F65C6F; Fri, 3 Nov 2006 09:01:57 +1100 (EST) Date: Fri, 3 Nov 2006 09:01:57 +1100 From: Edwin Groothuis To: freebsd-python@freebsd.org Message-ID: <20061102220157.GA18303@k7.mavetju> Mime-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii Content-Disposition: inline User-Agent: Mutt/1.4.2.2i Subject: Port request: PyLucene X-BeenThere: freebsd-python@freebsd.org X-Mailman-Version: 2.1.5 Precedence: list Reply-To: edwin@mavetju.org, freebsd-python@freebsd.org List-Id: FreeBSD-specific Python issues List-Unsubscribe: , List-Archive: List-Post: List-Help: List-Subscribe: , X-List-Received-Date: Thu, 02 Nov 2006 22:02:28 -0000 Hello, For the next release of net/penguintv-devel, the application needs access to the module PyLucene: ImportError: No module named PyLucene I've gone through the ports collection (well, a quick grep in the INDEX) and couldn't find it.
