with appropriate kernel modules loaded, and plugging my lg vx8100 phone into my laptop via usb: freebsd54 - dmesg shows ucom0 reference, /dev/ucom0 is created and is functions with ppp. freebsd60 - dmesg shows ucom0 reference, no device file is created. creating one manually does not work (fails to create in /dev, creates but is non-functional outside /dev). i've been unable to figure out where the problem lies, and have had no luck googling either. am i missing something simple, or has support somehow become missing or broken between 5.x and 6? -- Q: Because it reverses the logical flow of conversation. A: Why is putting a reply at the top of the message frowned upon?
