If it is DL380 and labeled Compaq it is either R1 or G2. (G1 does not
exists in the naming, its R1). G3 and later are labeled HP.

And have noticed issues with R1 and FreeBSD 5.x. Freebsd <= 4.x and >= 6.2
works.

CL380 does exists. But I have no experience about them.

But its trial and error. The only thing I can think of that are not
supported is the raidcard. But it seems to be a smart array so its either
the ciss or the ida driver.

You can probably get the device id from a linux boot and update the driver
with that id.
