I think there might be a fix for this issue there. That patch was merged to 8-STABLE. This is different problem. Phrase "SCSI sense: Error code 0x72" means that device returned sense data in "descriptor" format. As I can see, our code supports only "fixed" format. As kind of dirty hack, this patch should probably help: --- scsi_da.c.prev 2010-10-24 21:53:16.000000000 +0300 +++ scsi_da.c 2010-12-24 12:25:03.000000000 +0200 @@ -1763,6 +1763,10 @@ dadone(struct cam_periph *periph, union "size failed: %s, %s", sense_key_desc, asc_desc); + } else if ((have_sense) && + (error_code == 0x72)) { + scsi_sense_print( + &done_ccb->csio); } else { if (have_sense) scsi_sense_print( -- Alexander Motin From owner-freebsd-scsi@FreeBSD.ORG Fri Dec 24 18:13:51 2010 Return-Path: Delivered-To: freebsd-scsi@freebsd.org Received: from mx1.freebsd.org (mx1.freebsd.org [IPv6:2001:4f8:fff6::34]) by hub.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id C6040106564A for ; Fri, 24 Dec 2010 18:13:51 +0000 (UTC) (envelope-from jamesbrandongooch@gmail.com) Received: from mail-ww0-f50.google.com (mail-ww0-f50.google.com [74.125.82.50]) by mx1.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id 582238FC0C for ; Fri, 24 Dec 2010 18:13:51 +0000 (UTC) Received: by wwf26 with SMTP id 26so6938727wwf.31 for ; Fri, 24 Dec 2010 10:13:50 -0800 (PST) DKIM-Signature: v=1; a=rsa-sha256; c=relaxed/relaxed; d=gmail.com; s=gamma; h=domainkey-signature:mime-version:received:received:in-reply-to :references:date:message-id:subject:from:to:cc:content-type; bh=O2/E8eL1Pfk+/REonszR9ZXStTc9V124PsfXpWaCZAA=; b=kINnwzsClXvEAc1GJyR+pxJzWAHHWjsr/1O2FZfEvOegSt+YO1cWtGClWY688hcNld NCvT99e6mK+6x/N3YZoADINlS7i7JaprTobx063YBM+ZPEz2exOiVlCr0TC1rRpODa3S 10Po8PEdwPG1FeOkJH+8HMQaUSvo93AZxaSjk= DomainKey-Signature: a=rsa-sha1; c=nofws; d=gmail.com; s=gamma; h=mime-version:in-reply-to:references:date:message-id:subject:from:to :cc:content-type; b=FUqhpIZmbEiTIY6nj/+2/helkkfprKrBx/cVnY6RujjTl8VSHQOlQ5TVNoBaXq0ehw DE+SktsBFlq6PlV0bIeSpPxl/YjgyMK8tpf0PO7zZEBrtCg6OvPbQrZN9Y8Y2pnZ3lCs a0WMLiIgmbq7yK14z+Qbhz8lGFrf06GbdiYT0= MIME-Version: 1.0 Received: by 10.216.63.15 with SMTP id z15mr10420255wec.74.1293212853843; Fri, 24 Dec 2010 09:47:33 -0800 (PST) Received: by 10.216.12.80 with HTTP; Fri, 24 Dec 2010 09:47:33 -0800 (PST) In-Reply-To: <4CE0010D.7080505@FreeBSD.org> References: <4CD45209.5010607@FreeBSD.org> <4CDE5B8C.4000102@FreeBSD.org> <4CE0010D.7080505@FreeBSD.org> Date: Fri, 24 Dec 2010 11:47:33 -0600 Message-ID: From: Brandon Gooch To: Alexander Motin Content-Type: text/plain; charset=ISO-8859-1 Cc: freebsd-scsi@freebsd.org, FreeBSD-Current , FreeBSD Stable Subject: Re: Sense fetching [Was: cdrtools /devel ...] X-BeenThere: freebsd-scsi@freebsd.org X-Mailman-Version: 2.1.5 Precedence: list List-Id: SCSI subsystem List-Unsubscribe: , List-Archive: List-Post: List-Help: List-Subscribe: , X-List-Received-Date: Fri, 24 Dec 2010 18:13:51 -0000 On Sun, Nov 14, 2010 at 9:32 AM, Alexander Motin wrote: > Brandon Gooch wrote: >> On Sat, Nov 13, 2010 at 3:34 AM, Alexander Motin wrote: >>> Now uncommitted pass_autosence.patch and possibly cdrtools.patch. >> >> OK.
