For now, I've reverted r233208 in hopes that maybe a true fix can be found for the underlying locking issue. As a plebeian, I'll gladly test changes or try experiments, but like so many others I have no way to hack on this code myself in a meaningful way. -Brandon From owner-freebsd-acpi@FreeBSD.ORG Fri Mar 23 15:20:09 2012 Return-Path: Delivered-To: acpi@freebsd.org Received: from mx1.freebsd.org (mx1.freebsd.org [IPv6:2001:4f8:fff6::34]) by hub.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id 6FA1F106564A for ; Fri, 23 Mar 2012 15:20:09 +0000 (UTC) (envelope-from lehmann@ans-netz.de) Received: from avocado.salatschuessel.net (avocado.salatschuessel.net [78.111.72.186]) by mx1.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id EC85D8FC0C for ; Fri, 23 Mar 2012 15:20:08 +0000 (UTC) Received: (qmail 64318 invoked by uid 80); 23 Mar 2012 15:20:01 -0000 Received: from dsdf-4db5ce37.pool.mediaWays.net (dsdf-4db5ce37.pool.mediaWays.net [77.181.206.55]) by avocado.salatschuessel.net (Horde Framework) with HTTP; Fri, 23 Mar 2012 16:20:01 +0100 Date: Fri, 23 Mar 2012 16:20:01 +0100 Message-ID: <20120323162001.Horde.NTbGdKQd9PdPbJShQIXIh_A@avocado.salatschuessel.net> From: Oliver Lehmann To: acpi@freebsd.org User-Agent: Internet Messaging Program (IMP) H4 (5.0.19) Content-Type: text/plain; charset=ISO-8859-1; format=flowed; DelSp=Yes MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Disposition: inline Cc: Subject: intpm - AMD SMBus Controller X-BeenThere: freebsd-acpi@freebsd.org X-Mailman-Version: 2.1.5 Precedence: list List-Id: ACPI and power management development List-Unsubscribe: , List-Archive: List-Post: List-Help: List-Subscribe: , X-List-Received-Date: Fri, 23 Mar 2012 15:20:09 -0000 Hi, I've an Asus E35M1-M. The chipset is not really supported by the driver. It shouldn't even try to attach. -- Andriy Gapon
