I don't know if the issue is related to sqlite3 or to something in FreeBSD libc but it can be replicated by installing SoftHSM and OpenDNSSEC and then running "make check" in OpenDNSSEC (see https://wiki.opendnssec.org/display/OpenDNSSEC/Platforms#Platforms-FreeBSD9 for my setup). NOTE: This only happens on amd64 and not 32bit system and I think it has something to do with tracking the size of the malloc's that sqlite3 memstatus needs. (sorry, first BR if I'm doing this wrong) I can send data to the bsd box at it will run flat out at 11Mb/s. I tried sending the data back and it managed exactly 32768 bytes before it stalled. I've tried different MTU sizes, and rate limits on rsync. Nothing I've tried so far has worked. Hope this information helps a bit. P.S - willing to run whatever debug, patches, trials or tests to help fix this.
