I was happy to see it first but then I found out that openssl that goes as part of FreeBSD distribution lacks AESNI engine module. There are some patches for bringing aesni into FreeBSD mentioned on forums but this in not a production-system-running approach for me. So the answer is YES - it exists, but right then NO - it does not work. There is an official aesni driver http://www.freebsd.org/cgi/man.cgi?query=3Daesni&sektion=3D4&manpath=3DFree= BSD+8.2-RELEASE And it does work for intel. Sorry I didnt quite understand you fully. Do you mean it does not work in general? (since most people these days use digital tuners I guess, which would appear as /dev/dvb/adapter*/* and can be tested with w_scan, mplayer, vlc, or even mythtv or vdr.) Actually I'm not sure, maybe mythtv can be used with analog tuners too... Oh and now I see the OP also posted in -hardware, where he shows webcamd logs that say its an em28xx device, to the OP: If you get that working I'd like to add it to the wiki here: http://wiki.freebsd.org/WebcamCompat so I'd like to know the Name, usbids and other details for it. And I think there are dual analog/digital em28xx tuners also so be sure to check if you get shomething in /dev/dvb for it too. Good luck! :) Juergen
