Working with the vendor in releasing a distribution file of the maven repository at the time of the release of the code that is required for code to build against is something that can be done to prevent this. I worked with the vendor in doing this for databases/jasperserver. This really is an issue with the remote repository, and needs to be fixed with the owners of that maven code repository. I suggest in working with the vendor to fix the repository, and it would be great if you can convince them to release a snapshot of the maven repository that the code was used to build from for distribution purposes. That way, it will always be build-able. Even if they fix it today, someone could break it soon afterwards. -jgh -- Jason Helfman | FreeBSD Committer jgh@FreeBSD.org | http://people.freebsd.org/~jgh From owner-freebsd-java@FreeBSD.ORG Wed Apr 18 01:39:05 2012 Return-Path: Delivered-To: freebsd-java@FreeBSD.org Received: from mx1.freebsd.org (mx1.freebsd.org [69.147.83.52]) by hub.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id 15F941065672; Wed, 18 Apr 2012 01:39:05 +0000 (UTC) (envelope-from glewis@eyesbeyond.com) Received: from misty.eyesbeyond.com (gerbercreations.com [71.39.140.16]) by mx1.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id B16508FC0A; Wed, 18 Apr 2012 01:39:04 +0000 (UTC) Received: from misty.eyesbeyond.com (localhost.eyesbeyond.com [127.0.0.1]) by misty.eyesbeyond.com (8.14.4/8.14.4) with ESMTP id q3I1cu8x080726; Tue, 17 Apr 2012 18:38:56 -0700 (PDT) (envelope-from glewis@eyesbeyond.com) Received: (from glewis@localhost) by misty.eyesbeyond.com (8.14.4/8.14.4/Submit) id q3I1cjQN080720; Tue, 17 Apr 2012 18:38:45 -0700 (PDT) (envelope-from glewis@eyesbeyond.com) X-Authentication-Warning: misty.eyesbeyond.com: glewis set sender to glewis@eyesbeyond.com using -f Date: Tue, 17 Apr 2012 18:38:44 -0700 From: Greg Lewis To: Jason Helfman Message-ID: <20120418013844.GA80515@misty.eyesbeyond.com> References: <201204161710.q3GHA3qO078188@freefall.freebsd.org> <201204161600.10455.jkim@FreeBSD.org> <4F8C9BD7.6040502@geeklan.co.uk> <20120417184441.GC6807@dormouse.experts-exchange.com> MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii Content-Disposition: inline In-Reply-To: <20120417184441.GC6807@dormouse.experts-exchange.com> User-Agent: Mutt/1.5.21 (2010-09-15) Cc: glewis@FreeBSD.org, Venture37 , Jung-uk Kim , freebsd-java@FreeBSD.org Subject: Re: ports/156674: [PATCH] java/openjdk6: make x11-fonts/dejavu a build dep as build X-BeenThere: freebsd-java@freebsd.org X-Mailman-Version: 2.1.5 Precedence: list List-Id: Porting Java to FreeBSD List-Unsubscribe: , List-Archive: List-Post: List-Help: List-Subscribe: , X-List-Received-Date: Wed, 18 Apr 2012 01:39:05 -0000 On Tue, Apr 17, 2012 at 11:44:41AM -0700, Jason Helfman wrote: > On Mon, Apr 16, 2012 at 11:23:19PM +0100, Venture37 thus spake: > >On 16/04/2012 21:00, Jung-uk Kim wrote: > >> It looks like you have parallel build problem.
