May be it sounds strange, but I suggest you to buy old thinkpad,
starting from t61 and further.
My t61 has 2,6 core2 duo cpu, 8G memory, 15" 1920x1200 lustreless lcd,
120 intell sdd, atheros wifi, nvidia card, etc. All hardware works,
except suspend/resume.

It is cheap also ;)
