Every patch and link mentioned is dealing with the Agere/Hermes/Airport interface. There is nothing random about my searches, kernel building, building world, or anything else on this thread. If I had applied an OpenBSD Xenocara patch to my xorg.conf hoping it would bring up the interface, that would be applying a random patch. > but that particular one likely is failing because it has been committed > already quite some time ago. > And the ukphy driver is not available. I am trying to make Hibbit's patch work, while no one else is testing it. The airport card in my iMac G4 obviously has a bug. Again, anyone else who has an Airport card that doesn't have the bug is welcome to try the patch. "You didn't read.." Oh, yes, I did. "The why are you ...." At least I'm trying to make it work. Hibbit's patches also had errors when building as a module but not when building the kernel. "So, what are you saying?" There may be something useful in the old patches. "And?" And I am going to have some coffee. > > Marius > >
