http://lists.freebsd.org/pipermail/freebsd-stable/2009-September/051803.html Has anyone ever built a kernel with the tvtoabstime mentioned in the mailing post above? I've set the kern.hz value to 2500. The lag with Xorg seems to have decreased. Please search google for mpc7455 product specification pdf because the mailing list owner does not allow attachments of 250kb. What's the highest kern.hz rate that can remain stable? Is it possible to set it according to the internal clock? I wasn't able to determine which page had the proper internal clock rate. The CPU in the QuickSilver is a 933MHz and listed are a minimum of 500MHz to 933MHz; by what methods within FreeBSD is the frequency controlled? Mr.Davis, the original email- which was rejected- had a file attached. You may search out the links in this email and the reference to the missing file.
