The only thing that didn't work was the things that were depending on the pi stuff that wasn't yet supported in the linux emulation layer at the time. And that affected sound in skype for one. Essentially the ports for f20 have been in place for about a year. So if the pi stuff is working now in the linux emulation layer, I see no reason why f20 wouldn't work. I could easily bump the version of my set of ports to fedora 25; I've done the work already for all the f20 once, so it shouldn't take much time for it. I think it would be good to give the users the option to chose which linux distro they would like to use, imho. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. For the last couple of weeks or so (I can't nail the exact revision because I didn't think much of it then), ldconfig from /compat/linux (linux_base-c6) has been very, very slow. It sits there consuming 100% of one CPU core for a few minutes. This is severe when installing/uninstalling several linux_* packages. My system is otherwise idle. Let me know if I can provide better diagnostic information. - Nikolai Lifanov From owner-freebsd-emulation@freebsd.org Wed Jul 29 16:18:26 2015 Return-Path: Delivered-To: freebsd-emulation@mailman.ysv.freebsd.org Received: from mx1.freebsd.org (mx1.freebsd.org [IPv6:2001:1900:2254:206a::19:1]) by mailman.ysv.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id 9418D9AEAC1 for ; Wed, 29 Jul 2015 16:18:26 +0000 (UTC) (envelope-from feld@FreeBSD.org) Received: from out4-smtp.messagingengine.com (out4-smtp.messagingengine.com [66.111.4.28]) (using TLSv1.2 with cipher ECDHE-RSA-AES256-GCM-SHA384 (256/256 bits)) (Client did not present a certificate) by mx1.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTPS id 6D37081E for ; Wed, 29 Jul 2015 16:18:26 +0000 (UTC) (envelope-from feld@FreeBSD.org) Received: from compute2.internal (compute2.nyi.internal [10.202.2.42]) by mailout.nyi.internal (Postfix) with ESMTP id 03C9320A01 for ; Wed, 29 Jul 2015 12:18:25 -0400 (EDT) Received: from web3 ([10.202.2.213]) by compute2.internal (MEProxy); Wed, 29 Jul 2015 12:18:24 -0400 DKIM-Signature: v=1; a=rsa-sha1; c=relaxed/relaxed; d= messagingengine.com; h=content-transfer-encoding:content-type :date:from:in-reply-to:message-id:mime-version:references :subject:to:x-sasl-enc:x-sasl-enc; s=smtpout; bh=9W30z3xacn433Eh VWr1ei4HA3vs=; b=m3CYoaLMGRJ1YSciNdtU1czhY47ERcZszuKZ68iJXgWLxvP N2TgVzUxRRd7Z5MDLwnVK9Q7rhR5a7qd2TFWe4oycxF/cA2Qxjb81Lqm3qmoY3dY 3NWp3vNiceyJ3vykpc/tVUgD5N4bAEFlV3Fa+PBPtvuD/7A3OLAVHs3/CyIM= Received: by web3.nyi.internal (Postfix, from userid 99) id D54861058C8; Wed, 29 Jul 2015 12:18:24 -0400 (EDT) Message-Id: <1438186704.476138.336428737.34D45FAA@webmail.messagingengine.com> X-Sasl-Enc: ri4zUu6FlgT6pdMdu5odjEX7Fj3AdKnCnFpzbztktT5d 1438186704 From: Mark Felder To: freebsd-emulation@freebsd.org MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit Content-Type: text/plain X-Mailer: MessagingEngine.com Webmail Interface - ajax-63a5d8c6 Subject: Re: ldconfig slow on HEAD?
