I thing this is due to sharing the same javascript files. The browser does not crash if I have JavaScript disabled. It crashes old Firefox 35 same as new Firefox 40. I tested SeaMonkey 2.32 too. It works in Windows version of these browsers. Can somebody look at this problem and found some fix? But if I have "no script" extension enabled, JavaScript is not loaded and browser is OK (but sites like www.mapy.cz does'nt work without javascript) So I think it is bug in Gecko on FreeBSD / FreeBSD 64bit. Manually setting the SQLite3 3.8.11.1_1 option "DBSTAT=on" and recompiling fixed. (Portupgrade -arR did not catch SQLite3 3.8.11.1 to SQLite3 3.8.11.1_1.) Port sqlite3-3.8.11.1_1 should be bumped for Firefox 41.0,1. It would be nice if ports could depend on options being enabled in other ports. Perhaps if portupgrade would detect that default options changed, the way poudriere would, then it would handle this situation better? I think bumping sqlite3 isn't really quite the right solution. It would mean unnecessary rebuilding in some cases. Mozilla maintains a fork based on cairo-1.9.5 and only ever runs regression tests using it. System cairo exposed several issues in the past from crashes to graphical glitches. r393805 is more recent one. https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1200934 https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=739096 I wonder if Mozilla's fork would work once installed system-wide e.g., graphics/mozcairo following suit of graphics/mozjpeg. Cairo upstream doesn't change API/ABI often[1] and Firefox can still be built with system cairo. There're probably not many (if any) ports that really need recent version of cairo. Hi Steve, I changed both from cairo to skia. Firefox crashed again on www.mapy.cz but on next start www.mapy.cz and www.seznam.cz works normally. So this can be a workaround. When I entered www.mapy.cz this messages were printed on console but FF didn't crash > firefox (process:8936): GLib-CRITICAL **: g_slice_set_config: assertion 'sys_page_size == 0' failed Fontconfig warning: "local.conf", line 1093: saw number, expected matrix libGL error: Calling driver entry point failed libGL error: reverting to software direct rendering libGL error: failed to load driver: vboxvideo ATTENTION: default value of option force_s3tc_enable overridden by environment. Can I use "skia" or does it have some negative impact? Yeah, GL stuff isn't going to get hardware acceleration in vbox, no surprise there. Should be fine though, I think. > Can I use "skia" or does it have some negative impact? Additionally, I've taken the liberty to do some housekeeping in www/firefox-i18n: added uz (uzbek languange), removed languages currently not available, and fixed the sort order to be the same (by xpi name) in all places.
