Place 2 fingers one by one on touchpad to trigger 2-finger scroll then click with one finger and move another one without releasing touch surface. You should see cursor moving with your finger with mouse button downed (drag). = It should not depends on placing order and which finger is holding a click and which finger is moving. It would be nice to check these gestures with x11-drivers/xf86-input-synapt= ics driver in psm mode. It seems that nonpatched driver do not initialize "adva= nced gesture mode" for xf86-input-synaptics for multitouch trackpads. I didn't know about these gestures, > do you have others I could test? Thanks for testing, Juan Click-and-drag is useful for long drags when touchpad`s edge restricts your finger movement length. click-drag-drag-drag is easier to do than tap-drag-tap-drag-tap-drag. And it`s only supported multitouch gesture now. Other consequence of multit= ouch support is ability to do 2 finger scroll with moving of single finger not b= oth but I don`t see it really helpful. --=20 You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.= From owner-freebsd-amd64@freebsd.org Tue Sep 13 16:04:49 2016 Return-Path: Delivered-To: freebsd-amd64@mailman.ysv.freebsd.org Received: from mx1.freebsd.org (mx1.freebsd.org [IPv6:2001:1900:2254:206a::19:1]) by mailman.ysv.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id 63E49BD9375 for ; Tue, 13 Sep 2016 16:04:49 +0000 (UTC) (envelope-from bugzilla-noreply@freebsd.org) Received: from kenobi.freebsd.org (kenobi.freebsd.org [IPv6:2001:1900:2254:206a::16:76]) (using TLSv1.2 with cipher ECDHE-RSA-AES256-GCM-SHA384 (256/256 bits)) (Client did not present a certificate) by mx1.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTPS id 53736F8E for ; Tue, 13 Sep 2016 16:04:49 +0000 (UTC) (envelope-from bugzilla-noreply@freebsd.org) Received: from bugs.freebsd.org ([127.0.1.118]) by kenobi.freebsd.org (8.15.2/8.15.2) with ESMTP id u8DG4lKi002070 for ; Tue, 13 Sep 2016 16:04:49 GMT (envelope-from bugzilla-noreply@freebsd.org) From: bugzilla-noreply@freebsd.org To: freebsd-amd64@FreeBSD.org Subject: [Bug 205690] [psm] [patch]: Add support for Elantech trackpads Date: Tue, 13 Sep 2016 16:04:47 +0000 X-Bugzilla-Reason: CC X-Bugzilla-Type: changed X-Bugzilla-Watch-Reason: None X-Bugzilla-Product: Base System X-Bugzilla-Component: kern X-Bugzilla-Version: CURRENT X-Bugzilla-Keywords: feature, needs-qa, patch X-Bugzilla-Severity: Affects Many People X-Bugzilla-Who: gonzo@FreeBSD.org X-Bugzilla-Status: Open X-Bugzilla-Resolution: X-Bugzilla-Priority: --- X-Bugzilla-Assigned-To: gonzo@FreeBSD.org X-Bugzilla-Flags: mfc-stable10? mfc-stable11? Unfortunately, this is very noticeable in some workloads (MySQL esp.) and a= s a result, I will not be able to use FreeBSD on our cloud-setup (we run our own Apache CloudStack "cloud") except maybe for stuff like reverse-proxies etc. An easy test to spot this is with dc3dd. With dc3dd -wipe, I get over 100 MB/s in a Linux-VM, and maybe 20 in a Free= BSD VM. Tools etc. are installed, NICs show up as "xn", drives show up as "ada", for what it's worth. I've already posted in the freebsd-xen mailing list, but nobody used Xen-Se= rver there, apparently. I also posted on Citrix's forum, but nobody bothered there, either. I currently run about a 100 FreeBSD servers in various forms (physical and virtual) and if nothing changes, this will probably be the end of it :-( If anyone needs a VM to test, I can provide that, too (and access to the CloudStack GUI for that particular VM). --=20 You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.= From owner-freebsd-amd64@freebsd.org Wed Sep 14 12:37:38 2016 Return-Path: Delivered-To: freebsd-amd64@mailman.ysv.freebsd.org Received: from mx1.freebsd.org (mx1.freebsd.org [IPv6:2001:1900:2254:206a::19:1]) by mailman.ysv.freebsd.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id C86CEBD9970 for ;
